Earlier last year Russia announced that they were ending their counter terrorism operation, and were pulling their troops out of Chechnya. They had allowed Chechnya to govern under self rule with the brutal Ramzan Kadyrov running the show. This was supposed to in bring peace, but as see across the world, there will be no peace with the religion of war.

The current government in Russia is extremely popular in Russia, and the MSM story about the mass of dissidents is BS. Most of these beloved “dissidents” are communists who want a return of Stalin.
Medvedev and Putin are a lot of things, but they are not lilly-livered pieces of crap like Obama. They are strong men who like control. They *have* control.

As far as the wonderful people of Russia who support the new Tsar Putin, I talked to three women from Russia in a restraunt two weeks ago, one was married, become an American citizen who’s lived here eight years, the other tow were her Russian friends visiting from Russia and Europe (she emigrated like her now-American friend did.
They do NOT believe in freedom of thought, freedom of speech or freedom to protest.
All three Russians said it was shameful that people are allowed to criticize Barak Obama, all three thought that people should be arrested for criticizing the government, all three thought that any newspaper, blog, TV station or politician who criticized Barak Obama or the current government should be seized, shut down or imprisoned.
They all said that government’s role is to be strong and guide the people in how to think, how to act and what to believe.
It was spooky, all three women were white-collar professionals, college degrees and one lived in America for eight years, the other in Europe for many years.
Obviously there is a contingent of people here in America, maybe even yourself, who do no want freedom and would prefer to live under a dictatorship, where the govenrment controls everything, but that is NOT what America was meant to be.
If you admire Tsar Putin I recommend you move to Russia instead of trying to promulgate that wretched communism here in the states.

1. My response was to your assertion that the Russian government may be responsible for the attack. I do not want Russian “freedom” here. Your theory claimed that the Russian government did it to get rid of dissidents. I pointed out that your theory is extremely flawed and why.
2. I think Putin works for Russia. Russians don’t want freedom and I’m not about to force it on them. Putin is a strong man, but he’s been a lot less horrific than most Russian strong men. It’s a small step for Russia, but it’s a step.
3. I’ve been generally accused of being against government intrusion on personal affairs when government intrusion is justified. Russia is Russia and making poor assumptions about what is happening there has nothing to do with my views of freedom.
Do you love Jihadists? I doubt it. Just because you attack the Russians in this instance doesn’t make you for Jihadists. Just because I believe the Jihadists did it doesn’t mean I want someone like Putin to be President of the US.
It was more your tone, almost like you admired him and thought it okay for him to take Russia back to the days of the Tsar.
The Russian women I talked about told me that Russians will never love freedom, they need a strong government to control their lives. You almost sounded like you believe that, too.
You didn’t really refute anything about my belief the apartment buildings were a Reichstag-fire sort of feint designed to give them the freedom to crack down on dissidents, as I also didn’t provide proof.
I’ve just read numerous people who presented plausible arguments that, unlike Beslan and other bombings the apartment building was done by the state.
