I wish Boortz were on XM. I'd love to be able to listen to him, but the only place he's on around me in a station in Omaha during the evening.
Alas, I am restricted to reading his tweets and his blog, Neal's Nuze.
Today, he expands on a tweet he sent Sunday, which read:
"Nancy Pelosi will be grinning and laughing this afternoon. Today will do more damage than 9/11."
He's 100% right. He continues:
On September 11, 2001 Americans ... ALL Americans ... knew that our country had been attacked. There was an immediate consensus that the attack would not go unanswered; that we would defend ourselves. There was an instantaneous determination to prevail over those who were trying to destroy our country.
Not so after ObamaCare. Some Americans realize that our country, our heritage, and our economy are under attack. Huge numbers of Americans don't. Fact is, we are being attacked. Sunday was a direct assault on American principles of self-reliance and economic liberty. What's worse, it was an attack on our Constitution. There is nothing in our Constitution which empowers the Imperial Federal Government to force private citizens into contracts with other private entitles. There is nothing in our Constitution that permits to government to punish people who refuse those contractual arrangements.
A recent Fox News poll found that 79% of voters think that it is possible the economy could collapse in the wake of Obamacare. There were no polls showing that Americans feared an economic collapse after 9/11. By a nearly three-to-one margin, more voters think that the national debt (65%) is a greater potential threat to the country's future than terrorism (23%). Sounds like support for my position.
Bottom line ... Most Americans recognize radical Islamists as our enemy, and they're prepared to meet that enemy and defeat it. It's not quite so easy to recognize a parasite with a ballot as an enemy of our country.
I have written similar things here. Back in 2008, I wrote:
On their best day, they have killed thousands, only to unify the country against them. If they ever acquired a nuclear weapon, I do not doubt they would use it. They would happily destroy any major United States city in one fell blow. But that would not destroy America.
Every time they hit us, we hit them back, harder than they expected. And while they can kill thousands of our countrymen, they cannot kill our country. Islamic terrorism is a grave threat that needs addressed, but it is not the number one threat to America.

Americans can take care of themselves, and they will take care of each other. As noted above, we gave $300 billion in charity last year, on top of all the taxes we paid. Given the opportunity, the private sector would perform all the programs the government currently performs, just better.
However, we are not given that choice, and it is that willing surrender of property that foreshadows our demise. The continuing growth of the government, combined with the continuing dependence of the people is the one thing that could destroy America.
It is America’s greatest threat.
I believe that today more than I did then.
No one cares. LBJ did (and continues to do) more damage to this country than the Civil War. No one cares.

It is a shame we let it go this far but at least America is rising. They are doomed in any election and they know it. If they dare attempt a coup they will be crushed. American freedom and our desire to be free is a lot harder to destroy than the Marxists realize.
Yeah, but I am not allowed to stream audio or video where I work, and don’t get AM stations very well.
