It is unwise to give people the idea that they have nothing to lose. Lincoln said, Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a mans character, give him power. Our politicians are failing that test shamefully, and it is up to us to send them the report card. We hope they will get the message from the 2010 and 2012 elections, so that my dream will remain only a dream, and not become a real nightmare when the patient people lose their patience.

NOW it’s personal.
Tonight if I’d seen a car with an Obama bumper sticker I’d have been hard pressed to control myself. Those fools not only steal our money they steal our liberty and tie us in chains as sure as any slavemasters and like all slavemasters they only deserve the pit. I am a patient man but on the day I have the full advantage over these vermin I will show no mercy. They can find their entitlements in hell.
Anybody ready for a third party yet?
That would be a disaster. Remember Ross Perot gave us Clinton—twice!
No, George “Read My Lips” Bush gave us Clinton twice.
Third party is not the answer. Just take back the Republican party and don’t split votes by creating a 3rd party.
The has been socialist lite to the dems socalist for too damn long! Personally I don't trust either the GOP or the Rats.
another not about sorry
Know someone who have vowed to never vote Republican again, and he never, ever voted Dem. Yes, a third party it may be.
Amen! I get so tired of that “Perot gave us Clinton” crap. Perot made twenty million people vote who wouldn’t have voted otherwise. And I’m one of them. I had a bunch of chances to vote for Clinton prior to 1992 and voted against him everytime. But I wasn’t going to vote for “read my lips” either.
We have to take the republican party back. The republicans had the power for 6 years and did nothing but spend money. And then they put Steele in charge because he’s black. And that’s the only reason. Hell, anyone could see through that crap.
We need a party that will play rougher than the democrats.
Exactly. A third-party vote by a conservative/Republican is effectively a vote for the Democrats. Anyone who thinks it takes less energy, money, time, etc., etc. to create and develop a third party as an effective voice in government than it does to correct the deficiencies of the Republican party from within is not thinking rationally ... although from an emotional perspective I admit it's enticing to fantasize about.
So...we need to clean out our own house before we even attempt to clean the Dem house? Okay. How? (I’m all for starting with McCain)
“We need a party that will play rougher than the democrats.”
We need people who will stick together and play rougher than the democrats. Especially in the election in the fall leading up to, during, and counting the votes. They will do everything they can to steal the election. We need folks in the right places, participating and not quitting, to push back.
Don’t see too many cars with 0bama stickers around here anymore, other than an occasional Prius or Subaru. I just put a decal on the back window of my Cobalt(it’s an ‘07, pre-0bama Motors vintage) yesterday of the cartoon character Calvin peeing on 0bama and already I got a couple of thumbs up. And if any pasty-faced lib/vegan/tree-hugger/GLBT type tries to give me greif about it, in the words of Mr.T, “I PITY THE FOOL!”
Can I watch?
I’m with you. If we keep working with the ones we got we’ll keep getting what we got tonight. A big “srew you!”
Well, if Bush hadn’t raised taxes, then Perot would have been a non-factor.
