Doesn’t matter to me if it’s the guys first offense or his fiftieth.
The Law has two faces. One face is to punish offenders and rehabilitate them back in to society.
But the other face is where we are simply doing what is necessary to protect the women and children and neighbors we have. No one in their right mind would raise questions if somebody shot and killed a rabid dog in a playground full of children.
The issues are compounded by the fact that the lawyers and judges and juries are NEVER held accountable when there is a screw up. They were just “doing their job”. Just not “doing their job” very well at all!
