Glenn Beck was wrong, its as simple as that. He wasn't wrong in interviewing Eric Massa because it was an interview that he had to take once it became available. The Massa story was dominating the headlines and he had to jump on it. No, where Glenn Beck was wrong was apologizing for wasting our time at the end of the interview. This interview was no waste of time because in the end it destroyed the myth that Eric Massa's claims had any viability.
It was classic train-wreck theater. You know that a train is going to end up derailed and on its side, and even feel uncomfortable waiting for it to happen, but you are powerless to stop the carnage. Through the whole experience you are just wondering if the train will wreck itself or will someone push it over.
In this case it was Massa who self-derailed.

But he was right — it was a complete waste of an hour’s time. At least he recognized it.
I should add — you would never hear Rush or Hannity admit as much after wasting your time. I’ve never heard Hannity apologize after wasting my time interviewing McLame for a 1/2 hour. Rush couldn’t be bothered.
Actually, Massa was elected in November 2008 and his 50th birthday was September, 2009. This math isn't difficult. And BTW, it's spelled "Wikipedia".
(The Lid writes good columns, but seriously needs an editor.)
After reading all the posts so far, I see no one else has mentioned this: about five minutes before the end of Beck’s show, Massa says,
“I’m a progressive.”
That threw Glenn backwards in his chair.
I feel sorry for Glenn. He gave Massa every opportunity to tell about how deep the corruption runs in Washington, D.C.
Massa was afraid. That much was evident. He knows much more than he’s telling. Too bad Massa isn’t an honest man, cancer or not. He’s had a chance to come clean, and failed.
Can you say "DISTRACTION"???
The bastardized Congress hopes to distract America through cheap, trailer-trash gossip while they attempt to socialize our entire economic system!!!
It was sad to watch Beck fall for this trick today!
Yes, Rush is always - (or as you say, 99.99%) - right!
After that debaucle Beck may go back to the bottle. As he said, Bill OReily could have done a better job. I hope Glenn learned his lesson.
Exactly.
That’s alright! Beck has been amazingly informative and he’s given to an instance of “stepping in it”.
You nailed it, unfortunately!
