“Some called it patronizing and contrived to think that a white family would be so altruistic.”
Somebody’s always gunna find somethin’ wrong with anything. It’s always MUCH easier to tear down, than to build up..
I’m in GA and I know of several families that have done the exact same thing as the Touhy’s.
No good deed goes unpunished.
Like the mother on drugs, in the projects, not taking care of her responsibilities.
I guess they didn’t mention that.
They’re challenging a true story, enough said.
If the man told them himself, he would be a sell-out, Uncle Tom, hating on his people! Thinking he’s better, talking down to them, doesn’t know his roots, slanders every black since creation, shames his black family by not staying homeless, picking up drugs, doing jail time, not staying around the hood.
Then some would ask for handouts for restitution, you know, it’s not ‘fair’ he has (earned), so much.

What bothered me about Sandra Bullock(who has proved herself to be an excellent actress) was that she originally said that she didn’t think she could play the part of Leigh Ann Tuohy because she didn’t know if she would be able to portray her for what she was: A committed Christian and a Republican. Was it that much of a stretch(and a departure from Hollywood liberalism)for Ms. Bullock to assume the role of a woman with integrity and values? After all, she is an ACTRESS!
Or in reality, was Ms. Bullock afraid of a backlash from the Hollywood lefties whom she works with.?
