Sometime in the last three weeks a 747 departed Johannesburg, South Africa for Maputo, Mozambique with an camera strapped to the nose landing gear looking aft along the fuselage. The result is a stunning piece of HD video taken over African skies. (music leaves something to be desired)

Neat.
Kind of an aside, but J’burg has a very nice airport.
I saw that too, but it still appeared the camera was attached to the nose gear and looking aft. Otherwise we would have not seen the nose gear doors close up on it.
However I am surprised after all these years cameras hive not been installed on other parts of these aircraft such media presentations, and for research purposes.
Would you even use a 747 to go from South Africa to Mozambique?
Stowaway was not meant literally.
Nicely done.
I just check and the distance is only 280 miles. Maybe it is a cargo plane as I do not see how an airliner could make money on such a short flight with this type of aircraft.
Front stowaway gear...
Thats how i get to Vegas every year.
I usually bring my own snacks.
stunning video!! Thanks for the great find :)
...or there were two cameras...
So you fly Southwest, eh?
