At last, we have an Alice in Wonderland for these times: Gloria Steinem meets Joan of Arc with a touch of Carrie Bradshaw.
Tim Burtons big-budget movie loses touch with a lot of the whimsy from Lewis Carrolls Alice books in favor of lots of girl-power feminism. That doesnt ruin the movie, but in a world thats supposed to grow curioser and curioser, things quickly get conventional and conventionaler.

As I said in another post: the movie sounds like a visual masterpiece with a pointless and forgettable plot, characters that lack depth, and an experience that does not warrant any of our emotional investment.
Too bad, I was hoping that he could get in touch with the story.
