New Study Says Global Warming May Be Signal of Impending Ice Age

Back in the 1970s before people were screaming about global warming, scientists were warning us that the next ice age may be just around the corner. The big freeze scare was eventually pushed aside by the great man-made global warming hoax. Now a new study has been released that global warming may be just the Earth's warning that a new Ice Age is near.

In the Earth's history thus far, there have been periods where glaciers covered much of Europe, each lasting about 100,000 years. These are separated by warmer interglacial periods lasting around 10,000 years. We are currently at the end of an interglacial era called the Holocene.

Researchers took a look at what happened to the climate just before the last major glacier period, around 115,000 years ago and they found that there was a period of extreme climate fluctuations. They suggest that the period of global warming that plateaued fifteen years ago may just be one of those pre-glacier heat waves.

These fools appear to actually be too stupid to experience shame. You either have global warming, or you have ice ages, one or the other, but not both.

Real ice ages in the past had cosmic causes and decades if not centuries worth of warning; there is positively nothing like that on the horizen today. Little Ice ages such as the one begging around the time of Joan of Arc and the one we might be headed into now are due to fluctuations in the output of the sun due to the plasma physics phenomena associated with stars.

Sorry, that is when the glaciers COVERED the USA. 16,000 years ago. We still had glaciers in the lower 48 just a few thousand years ago.

Well, if the glaciers were well covering northern states, they couldn’t have been used for farming very well. That wasn’t that long ago in geological terms. The weather couldn’t have been too great in southern states either.

So far, warming temperatures are an improvement. It also tends to imply that the weather now is “normal” and that anything else isn’t. Pretty tall order.

For the last couple of million years “normal” has been ice in the North. It’s pretty much like a desert South of that until you get to the subtropics where it’s Temperate. The tropical zone is much smaller too.

The temperature record inferred from the Antarctic ice cores shows, invariably, a temperature peak immediately before a long slide into a very long iceage.

There have been 19 such peaks followed by the slides. We are right at the point of the 20th peak!

This is not "doublespeak".

The Algore crowd actually thought that the temperature would just keep going up this time and there'd be no ice.

They never brought out any evidence for why it wouldn't get colder.

First when your parse the term "Global Warming" into present day definition we all know it means that too many people driving SUVs and cows farting are warming the planet. (At least that is what Al Gore and his band of idiots would have us all believe.)

So taking the Title of this thread: "Study Says Global Warming May Be Signal of Impending Ice Age" we translate such to "Too many Cows Farting and people driving SUVs are going to make the glaciers come back." When all along these idjits are trying to convince us that human civilization will die out because the globe is getting warmer. Now temps are dropping so they have to get new directives from the Ministry of Truth and engage in Newspeak/Doublespeak so we can simplify the equation down to "Warming is Cooling"...

See your mistake is that you believe the folks that printed this article actually are worried about the "science". They are not. They are trying to corner the market and gain control of all energy use. Thus gaining control of the populace so they can create the perfect society.
