When conservatives don’t even stand up for principles, we as a nation are doomed.
If Bunning had voted against every spending bill since 2003 on that grounds that it was not paid for, his argument would have been better.
BTW, extending or not extending unemployment payments ain't no thang in this, the Obama Depression.
The greater thing in the eyes of the majority is the absence of any realistic action on the part of the Democrats to foster job creation.
We now have 24 million unemployed, the greater part of which are young men.
Weimar had a similar situation. They got Hitler.
One good thing, when this government folds I am not gonna be responsible for their bills. Bet ya all feel the same way.
He was left by his own party with NO support. He tried. He did good. I thank him.
They’re all socialists now. Hypocrites. Liars. Con-men. Anti-freedom collectivists bankrupting the U.S.A.
Sweep ALL of them out or let them ALL resign and go back to their families. They only understand power. Its time to flex OUR muscle. The soap box doesnt work. They control all of the amplification devices. Its time for the ballot box. Its peaceful. Its powerful.

What’s the difference?
From time to time, the GOP makes me want to vomit.
This is one of those times.
I really don’t believe that most of its elected members stand for anything at all.
Disgusting.
It’s my understanding that Bunning was objecting to the welfare being extended through the “unanimous consent” method in the Senate, as well as because of “pay-go”.
Dinky Reid, late Tuesday, said he would allow it to go to the floor for an up or down vote, instead of unanimous consent. It was after that that Bunning rescinded his hold.

It doesn’t bother them that Obama went back on his word regarding spending... but then it doesn’t bother them that Obama said he cares about “The least of these” and has never given more than 7% of his personal income to charity.
What could cause someone to be that foolish?
