February 24, suddenly Chinese official media CCTV for the first time published shock screens of shooting down U-2 high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft in June 1958, to warn B-2 of the United Stites.

I used to work on F-15s before being forced retained into Intelligence. I also build models ,specializing in aircraft. After I retired from the Air Force I managed to fall into a job where all three disciplines are used...Aircraft Obsolescence Management.

These imaged could fool anyone who isn't familiar with the Aircraft, sams and photo imaging. None of these pictures where taken from the ground. Hires didn't exist in 1958 and the Aircraft variants didn't exist at that time either...If my memory is correct the only U-2s shot down over China where Taiwanese piloted U-2s.

Aircraft: US Air Force C-118
Crew: 9 (all captured by Soviets and eventually returned to US custody; some injuries sustained in crash landing and parachute escape from aircraft)
Description:
This aircraft was shot down by Soviet fighters approximately 30 miles inside Soviet airspace near Yerevan, capital of Soviet Armenia. The US admitted intrusion, asserted it was due to navigational error, and expressed regret. Five of the crewmembers parachuted from the plane and 4 rode it down until it crashed. All 9 were released by the Soviets on July 7, 1958.
