Today’s healthcare summit at Blair House in Washington D.C. today was simply for in all honesty a COMPLETE FARCE. From start to finish, it was waste of not only the taxpayer’s money, but also of precious tv time that could be better spent on cutting taxes and reducing spending on the government level so that the private sector could begin to produce jobs again.

Start over? NO!

Junk it, pour lighter fluid on it, light it, walk away, and never mention Federal control of health care? YES!

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

He and Ryan were great! Obama was nothing more than his usual self centered self!

I was very proud of my Senator today. I thought it was great that he put Obama’s own words from his short senate career on record, on national television, concerning Reconciliation. Obama previously said concerning Reconciliation, “This was clearly not what the Founders intended”. Sen. Alexander made him eat those words for now trying to push Obamacare down our throats.

No, he doesn’t. Our big government, unConstitutional bill will be just as bad as theirs because it’s unConstitutional to have the federal government intervening beyond repealing every previous federal interference in the health insurance industry previous to this. If the Republicans would have said this today, there would be a clear difference between the two parties on principle and they would have made headway in promoting liberty, Constitutionalism, and common sense. The GOP just doesn’t get it.

No one in Washington, in any party, should touch health care. They will all mess it up.

Just get out of the way, open the door to competition, put a clamp on malpractice attorneys, and get out of the way.

Lamar Alexander. He really exposed Obama’s hypocrisy on Reconciliation. I emailed my appreciation for his efforts. We’ve got to thank and encourage our representatives when they get it right.

Thanks for the welcome. It is the best conservative forum I’ve found.

More importantly, we should be able to urge our representatives to change their minds and vote against liberal issues like the AMNESTY Bill without them calling us bigot, racist, anti-immigration etc...

Start over by not even starting!

Get serious about finding and stopping the $1 trillion in fraud.

Tort reform. Stop the legal thievery by trial lawyers.

Interstate health insurance. It works for car insurance.

Crack down on illegals abusing the system. And not just in health care!

Now, after Congress works together to take these steps (ain’t gonna happen) don’t do anything more on healthcare until the 2012 elections.

Start over means a COMPLETE REJECTION of Obamacare.

With rational people, that's what it would mean. But with their track record, and based on what I heard in sound bytes from them on Fox News, and based on what they are leading the ignorant masses into thinking (which means they have to end up delivering), it means that the GOP is going to come up with an equally unconstitutional bill that rivals the DNC's instead of leaving it up to the states as the Constitution mandates. I just wish that we had a major party that would just do as Ron Paul would do: Go into the summit, tell them absolutely no, tell them why its unconstitutional, have a backbone, and then walk out. It's too easy, but the GOP wants to be like bad, used car salesmen and try to sell a load of their own DNC-like $H!+ to the American people.

The explanation I got from Alexander’s office on the Amnesty issue was that he was enirely against Amnesty. He said he was for streamlining the Legal path for immigration, but that anyone found here illegally should be precluded from that process and sent to the back of the line, if not disqualified altogether. I could support that.

I agree with you that that I would prefer more conservative Senators. Maybe as the Tea Party gets stronger, more conservatives will enter these races. That is already happening in the 8th District Congressional race, where I live. I am so glad that Tanner is going. Sure hope he isn’t replace with Low Finney, another Pelosi lapdog wannabe.

Moved to Tennessee twenty one years ago and Love It Here!

I agree. I think we’ve got to oust the current closet progressives that have a stranglehold on the leadership on a national level. I was very frustrated that Tanner has been allowed to stay in office as long as he has. He ran unopposed last election. He is so far left of the folks here in West Tennessee it’s ridiculous! I think he would still be entrenched if it weren’t for a local talk radio program with Mike Slater. That has really given folks here a good source and exchange of information. He has been on Cavuto and a few other Fox network programs also.
