I am a big believer that behind that enormous pineapple-shaped head of Venezuelan Dictator Hugo Chavez, there lives a coward. It is one thing to lead coups, nationalize industries, shut down opposition newspapers and arrest political allies that are no longer convenient. It is quite another to stand mano-a-mano with the likes of Columbian hero and President Alvaro Uribe.
More Pro-American than President Obama, more involved in stopping drugs than our DEA, Uribe is also a courageous advocate for a conservative and free-market transformation of Latin America. Unlike the foolish leaders of Uruguay, Nicaragua and Brazil, Uribe understands that fashionable liberalism will never secure the economic future of Latin America. Foreign Direct Investment will.
Last year a war with Venezuela and Ecuador was narrowly averted. The proximate cause was a genius decision by Uribe to send commandoes in on a mission called Operation Jaque. This freed 15 hostages from the lefties known as FARC. Evidence was found on FARC laptops showing that the leftist drug dealers of FARC had received support from Venezuela.
Fast forward to today. Per Poder 360, President Hugo Chavez commented on CNN about his altercation with Colombia's President Alvaro Uribe during a private luncheon at the Rio Summit held in Cancun, Mexico, calling it "very regrettable." "All I did was respond. He couldn't accept my reasoning and he exploded. We exchanged harsh words," the leader said. "I told him to 'go to hell' when President Uribe, worked up, completely beside himself, began interrupting me, once, twice, three, four, five and six times. He wouldn't let me speak and acting very aggressively he banged on the table and that's when I said it to him." Chavez maintained that if it weren't for the other dignitaries attending the luncheon . . .

Maybe Sean can rescue someone with his boat.
The country is Colombia...not Columbia.
Uribe is a pretty good guy AFAIK.
Poor Chavez! He’s the one who goes off on crazy wild rants! Someone puts him in his place and he whines.
Not this:
Uribe is terrific! The fact that Nancy Pelosi doesn’t like him and refused to meet with him and other representatives of his country should give us a clue to just HOW terrific he is.

"Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has been visiting countries such as China, Iran and Russia as part of an effort to build a 'strategic alliance' of interests not beholden to the United States. He considers the United States his arch enemy.":
