We are the World 25 For Haiti (A Biblical Perspective)

Many humanitarians preach a social gospel and teach the “golden rule,” but what a great many humanitarians neglect and reject are the key foundational moral and natural laws for a healthy and prosperous society. If they adhered to and preached such virtues the world would be a totally different place. The majority of individuals who practice this type of humanitarianism are the very ones who praise and support oppressive dictators and socialistic dominance. They are the ones who hate moral laws and absolutes. As a matter of fact, they will fight tooth and nail to preserve their subjective agenda of “human rights” for actively promoting and practicing the transgression of God-ordained moral laws. These hold hands with like-minded individuals to seek a world without the Rule and Law of Almighty God, their Creator and Sustainer.

When hypocritical, godless elites from Hollywood and the decadent music industry - who have been the catalysts for the destruction of American culture and society - seek to get together for a relief project, expect to find the godless “Eros-love” and the god (Lucifer) of this world behind it (Rom 1:28-32, 2 Cor 4:3, Eph 2:2, 1 John 4:3). When the majority of these artists who have single-handedly promoted and encouraged all forms of godless and immoral behavior come together and sing “We are the world,” the spirit and mood is no different than that of the Babel rebellion of over 4200 years ago (Gen. 11:1-9; Rom. 1:18-32). No matter how sincere and noble the intentions might be, all help and aid must always be founded and rooted in REALITY and TRUTH.

I shy away from secular humanism, they need to take a class on “natural law” at the very least.

That’s to say the least... Have you ever read the “5000 year leap”? A great read!

We don’t allow secular humanists to benefit from Christian charity or work. We know better. In order to make a lasting change, the message of Christ must be part of the message. Otherwise, just giving people things and money will not change them from WITH IN. The goal of Christians should be to promote Christ and change HEARTS.

Seems to me, in a nutshell you’re saying...’if people were good, the world would be better’. I think people have known that for a very long time.

It seems quite simple doesn’t it... But the majority of people are clueless about that and the very ones singing and crying for world peace are the very ones who are throwing a monkey wrench into the works with their base living and promotion there of...

Perhaps, they do not believe they are living basely? I’m pretty sure God made us all different for a good reason.

Only a humanist would hold this view. Christians do not pretend that people are capable of being "better" or that the world can become a better place through human effort.

Different in gender and color, not indifferent to Natural Laws, and the 10 commandments etc..

I didn’t say indifferent to Natural Laws. Everyone has to obey the law of gravity and other physical laws. I do believe though, that God made us all different, especially with reference to any moral laws and the ten commandments.

What did Jesus mean when he said, “Do not call me good. Only the Father in Heaven is good.”?

The answer lies at the heart of salvation through Jesus. It is specifically because the least significant sin renders us wholly imperfect in the eyes of God that Jesus was sent to die for our sins and thereby to absolve us when we hide in Him.
We are to hide in the cleft of the rock, Jesus, such that when God looks at us he sees only Jesus.
Our imperfection renders us completely unacceptable to the Father, but through the Son, we have our salvation. Yet it is not we who are saved through any merit of our own but it is in Christ that we are saved.
Salvation is not possible without Christ because we are incapable of being good. When Jesus said to those who addressed him as the Good Teacher he said, “Do not call me good. Only the Father in heaven is good.” He was saying that goodness cannot exist other than in God. He is all that is good and there is nothing beside the Father that is good.
We cannot, then, try to be good. We can only try to be in Christ. That is our only hope.

That’s very good advice for those that believe as you do.

This is not advice. It is foundational Biblical teaching.
