The article goes on to describe how cruel whale-killing is as a set-up to justify vigilantism. I personally have no sympathy for whale-killing and find it to be unnecessary. I think as fellow mammals, we should give them deference in the seas.
That being said, opposition to whaling should be done legally. This is akin to being opposed to cattle ranching and launching attacks upon the people herding them or perhaps being opposed to deer hunting and doing similar things.
