Eight Reasons Conservatives Should Back J.D. Hayworth Over John McCain
Pajamas Media ^ | February 16, 2010 | Adam Graham

Former Congressman J.D. Hayworth (R-Arizona) is preparing to run against Senator John McCain for the U.S. Senate in this year’s Republican primary in Arizona. Some on the right, such as Glenn Beck, don’t agree with the decision of Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to campaign for McCain in Arizona.

Conservative angst over what Sarah Palin does or doesn’t do in Arizona does little good. Palin will go there out of a sense of personal loyalty to a man who brought her to national attention. Personal loyalty can run deeper than political ideology. And while personal loyalty can be to a fault, leadership is impossible without it.

The worst thing about a McCain loss would be Graham becoming the ‘maverick’ of the Senate.

I hope Hayworth can unseat Mc, but incumbency is difficult to beat — especially from within the same party. Maybe, just maybe, there is enough disgust with incumbency that McCain is sent into retirement.

He could, as some speculate, go Independent and try a Lieberman, if it looks like he is losing his Senate seat.

If Palin is not smart enough to back JD,
I'm throwing her under the bus.

Sarah Palin’s loyalty should be to this country, not to a man out to harm the U.S. John McCain and Cindy (Miss Duct Tape) are like gray-haired, feeble version of Boris and Natasha.

And....................isn't Cindy McCain in some pro-gay marriage commercial? (against us CA voters who voted for prop. 8?).
YES.

I noticed something very interesting yesterday. My local conservative talk radio station carries ABC national news on the hour. There were a couple stories there, and also on ABC TV news last night about the McCain/Hayworth race. Both sources always referred to JD Hayworth as a “right wing radio host”. Not once did they mention his 12 years as a US Congressman from AZ. I see that as another typical example of how the MSM uses subtle and not so subtle tactics to subvert our political system. I also see it as an example of how the left is scared silly of this new push from the right.

The most perplexing issue in the McCain Race is the purported support by Sarah Palin.

With ALL of Sarah's recent great news; her popularity and her promise, why isn't she supporting J.D.?

Is it simply loyalty to John McCain (which is a powerful reason) due to the fact that McCain brought her National attention?

I am very interested to read or hear why Sarah isn't supporting the more conservative J.D., and if she doesn't, this will cause her popularity to wane. Tricky situation for her........

Tricky situation for her

No, it isn't 'tricky' at all for someone who understands principle.

Loyalty to principles must supersede loyalty to a person.
