I give my thoughts on the recent UAH shooting then provide a look at the snow forecast for the next few days. Yep, more snow for many who have already seen a large amount. Snow will even make it back into the South.

Man, that’s a hard website to read with the lightning bolt on a black background.

Yes he needs to get rid of the cute back grounds behind his words! No one likes that kind of distraction!

Put it down in your book that on 2/12/2010 there was snow on the ground in all 50 of the United States.

Look, you don't have to get rid of the background completely. Just put the text in a superimposed clear panel.
It is so difficult to read the way it is, especially for middle aged eyes.

WELL, I liked the lightening bolt. LOL I didn’t find it distracting either. But I am into graphics & love their addition to about everything, SOmetimes I have difficulty with colors & the lack of contrast

Mighty cold last night in Southern Michigan but it makes for a beautiful frosty morning.

"Now the first of December was covered with snow.
And so was the Turnpike from Stockbridge to Boston.
Lord, the Berkshires seemed dreamlike on account of that frosting..."

One of my favorite song lyrics. Your photo reminded me of it.

I don't love the cold but I'm always on the lookout for that ice fog that rises off the river on the super cold nights. I took this one several years ago before I had a decent camera. I just wish we could get more nights that produce the heavy frost everywhere.

There’s usually snow on Mona Kea (14,110 ft (+/-)) on the Big Island of Hawai’i.
There’s a base camp there where the 1st Marine Brigade from Kaneohe Bay used to conduct annual training and we could see the snow.
I believe there’s a weather station and a ski resort up there as well.. yes, a ski resort.

Error:
The base camp is at the foot of Mona Kea at about 7,300 ft.

I stand corrected: “Mauna Kea” is 13,803 ft. Pike’s Peak is 14,110 ft... been there also.

Yeah. I like snow pics.
I took this one back when I used to have a decent Pentax and a set of Cokin filters.
