Dr. John Drew, a political scientist at Occidental College, reports on young Obama's marxist socialist perspective in the Fall of 1980: I met the young Barack Obama during the fall of 1980. I got a chance to see how his mind worked from my conversations with him. He was already an ardent Marxist socialist by the time he was a sophomore at Occidental College. I would be curious to know how and why his beliefs changed...if, indeed, they have changed. (Video at Source URL)

Obviously he was a Communist in College. Obvious he is also a Communist in the White House.

Dr. John C. Drew, a grant writing consultant in Laguna Niguel, Calif., tells Newsmax he met Obama in 1980 when Obama was a sophomore at Occidental College in Los Angeles. Drew had just graduated from Occidental and was attending graduate school at Cornell University.
During Christmas break, Drew says he was at Grauman-Boss home in Palo Alto when Obama came over with Mohammed Hasan Chandoo, his roommate from Pakistan.
Barack [Obama] and Hasan showed up at the house in a BMW, and then we went to a restaurant together, Drew says. We had a nice meal, and then we came back to the house and smoked cigarettes and drank and argued politics.
For the next several hours, they discussed Marxism.
He [Obama] was arguing a straightforward Marxist-Leninist class-struggle point of view, which anticipated that there would be a revolution of the working class, led by revolutionaries, who would overthrow the capitalist system and institute a new socialist government that would redistribute the wealth, says Drew, who says he himself was then a Marxist.
The idea was basically that wealthy people were exploiting others, Drew says. That this was the secret of their wealth, that they werent paying others enough for their work, and they were using and taking advantage of other people. He was convinced that a revolution would take place, and it would be a good thing.
Drew concluded that Obama thought of himself as part of an intelligent, radical vanguard that was leading the way towards this revolution and towards this new society. ..."
Referring to Obamas quote from Dreams of My Father that he associated with Marxist professors, Drew says, What hes not saying is that he was in 100 percent total agreement with those Marxist professors. When you understand that, Obamas later associations and policies make more sense, including why he was taken in by Rev. Wrights ideology.
When wasn’t he a marxist?
The right know this, the left celebrates it yet probably won’t admit it!
Is the Pope Catholic?
But calling for armed revolution, which he reportedly did, is a bit beyond being a Marxist. Not all of them want(ed) a bloody overthrow of the government. Obviously, in hindsight, all they had to do was wait and achieve their goal through the election process, thanks to a severely dumbed-down/ignorant population.
Anyone reading Free Republic would have at least sensed the truth of what this guy is saying. We KNEW Obama was a Marxist. How he managed to run a presidential campaign without the general public getting that same sense is one for the historians to figure out. Even given an MSM collectively (no pun) feeling a tingle running up their legs and pimping for Obama can't fully explain it. The American public just swooned for this guy and our children and grandchildren will pay the price for what is turning out to be a huge mistake.
In fact, Communist Party USA had a youth and student campaign titled “Revolt With A Vote!”.
Obama a Marxist in college AND now?
Bear....poop.....woods????
"The Communist Party USA views the 2008 elections as a tremendous opportunity to defeat the policies of the right-wing Republicans and to move our country in a new progressive direction.
The record turnout in the Democratic Presidential primary races shows that millions of voters, including millions of new voters, are using this election to bring about real change. We wholeheartedly agree with them."

After the election....
A Landslide Mandate For Change
A breakthrough election
Congratulations on an extraordinary history making election!
We can think back with pride to decades of hard work toward our strategic goal of a big enough, broad enough and united enough labor and all-peoples movement that could overcome the ultra-right blockage to all progress. That all peoples movement has come to life, it is dynamic and it has the potential to keep growing.
The election of Barack Obama and a strengthened Congress creates new conditions in our country. There is now the possibility to shift gears and move forward. This new day requires us to further develop our tactics in order to continue to deepen and broaden labor and peoples unity.
There are thousands of experiences that we all have had in these momentous days, some large, some small, all of which express the enormity of change in thinking and readiness for involvement that is underway and that steels us for the battles ahead.
The tears of joy we all shared as crowds gathered to watch the election results here and throughout the world dramatize the new moment we are in.

July 1, 2009...
Change is Here, Change is Coming
Sam Webb, National Chair, Communist Party, USA:
Let me begin with a simple observation: If the last 30 years were an era of reaction, then the coming decade could turn into an era of reform, even radical reform. Six months into the Obama presidency, I would say without hesitation that the landscape, atmosphere, conversation, and agenda have strikingly changed compared to the previous eight years.
In this legislative session, we can envision winning a Medicare-like public option and then going further in the years ahead.
We can visualize passing tough regulatory reforms on the financial industry, which brought the economy to ruin.
We can imagine the troops coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan while U.S. representatives participate in a regional process that brings peace and stability to the entire region.
In the current political climate, the expansion of union rights becomes a real possibility.
Much the same can be said about winning a second stimulus bill, and we sure need one, given the still-rising rate, and likely long term persistence, of unemployment.
Isnt it possible in the Obama era to create millions of green jobs in manufacturing and other sectors of the economy in tandem with an attack on global warming?
Cant we envision taking new strides in the long journey for racial and gender equality in this new era, marked at its beginning by the election of the first African American to the presidency?
And isnt the overhaul of the criminal justice and prison system a system steeped in racism no longer pie-in-the sky, but something that can be done in the foreseeable future?
All these things are within reach now!

The problem is the news media that refused to pick up on this stuff (and still is). Unfortunately, there are sheeple who watch CNN and think they ae seeing news. (They still don't know who Van Jones is/was). The News Media put us into this mess by not reporting on how dangerous this man would be a President of the United States. So I place primary blame there. (The Patriot's Flag - Eligibility and Credibility). Secondarily, I blame the sheeple that didn't take the time to try to find out who this man was. The information (as pointed out in this post and at The Patriot's Flag) was ALWAYS there. But people didn't "care enough" to check. They just tossed their vote to him like they would hope the Saints would win the Super Bowl.
...and they are discovering this is a little different than football. Wait till April 15th!
What do his Poli Sci professors at Columbia say about this?
No kidding. Barack Obama is a biological and ideological issue of 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus/street rabble.
I assume that is an honest question and not a joke. The facts of the matter are that there are ZERO witnesses to Obama ever being at Columbia. No teachers, no students, no records. Just Columbia's word that he was there. That's all we have. And he is President of the United States.
“I got a chance to see how his mind worked from my conversations with him.”
Well, not to quibble, but anyone espousing Marxist ideas given the 20th century record of Communism’s repeated abject failures in USSR, China, N. Korea and Cuba clearly had their brain in “Park” or “Neutral.” Thus, expecting to understand how well such a mind work at negotiating hairpin turns or even the most rudimentary driving tasks was a bit naive.
FYI:
John Drew is scheduled to be on Steve Malzberg’s radio show this coming Monday, Feb 15, 2010, sometime between 4-6 PM, eastern.
Here’s a link to the station’s website. There’s a link for listening Live at the top of the page:

I believe you can also listen to previous programs, in case you miss it live.
Old joke, but fits the question: Is the Pope a Catholic?
Shoulda read before I posted! :^)
