Debra Medina states:
"I have never been involved with the 9-11 truth movement, and there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11. I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way. No one can deny that the events on 9-11 were a tragedy for all Americans and especially those families who lost loved ones."

Yes, I got the impression that she did not understand the question. It was a major gaffe on her part, but she does not appear to subscribe to 9/11 “truth.”
I felt kinda sorry for Bill White in the Dems debate. Farouk is soooooo crazy and White actually had to appear to take him seriously.
Well, we are part of the problem. Before the television media circus took over politics, candidates didn’t have to be good looking or have sonorous speaking voices. We now focus on appearances and feelings, even though we claim to care about issues, character, etc. One interview in which you fumble an answer, and it’s over. I heard the interview, and she’s not a Truther but she seemed to worry about giving offense to some handful of Truthers who might support her. Dumb, but not as dumb (or evil) as the reckless spending in Austin, the margins tax, the lax border enforcement, the TTCF, the vaccine mandate, the hate crimes legislation, etc.
She hasn’t taken a position regarding 9/11? Reminds me of someone who claimed ‘didn’t know anything about his pastor’s position on Amerika’ despite the fact he’d been attending the church for many years.
I kind of agree with you about good looking, but what explains Waxman and Barny Frank??
It still gave White airtime without rebuttal from Perry (the only candidate challenged by White).
When is White going to be questioned on his Sanctuary City policy in Houston? Government financing of “global warming solutions”? etc.
It’s like the last time around, not any great candidate but definitely some bad ones.
Well, you're there and I'm in Ohio, but what I heard on the radio this morning was a non-denial denial, a "modified limited hangout."
I was thinking of donating to her campaign, but I'm believe she just lost herself the election.
Perhaps. But for now she suggested ending the property tax (which carries a federal deduction on tax returns).
I expect Jesse Ventura is booking them both on his new cable show "CONSPIRACY THEORY".

Yup
A new world record? Or just for Texas?
OK.
She is quite clear on the need to cut spending if she is asked, but she has been emphasizing 2nd Amendment and the property tax issue in a way that obscures her sound positions on spending, life, and border enforcement.
Too bad, but we are going to get more of the same-old, same-old...
Yes I do that for her.
Exactly! I am with you 100%!
Dan Patirck and Glenn Beck (who worked for 104 KRBE in Houston back in the 80s) are friends.
Dan Patrick is a Perry supporter. Patrick gets to become U.S. Senator by a Perry appointment, if Kay retires.
Medina has never said she supports the 9/11 movement.
In the Dallas Morning News today they were pointing out that some posters pretending to be Medina supporters and making 9-11 Medina statements. When they checked the IPs - turned out they were actually Perry supporters. showed their other postings that were supporting Perry.
Perry is scared of Medina and I would guess this is probably the beginning of the mud slinging.
___________________________
As an observer from outside Texas, I had hopes that Medina would provide a viable alternative to Perry or Huthinson, both of which are part of the “political machine.” But Medina’s performance today on Beck was nothing short of catastrophic.
To attempt to accuse Glenn Beck of some sort of political sabotage for his friend Dan Patrick and ultimately Rick Perry is insulting, both to the integrity of Beck, and to the intelligence of MILLIONS of his listeners!
Medina was asked a simple, straightforward question — she did not answer it. She would not answer it. Nor would she disavow supporters and staffers who might BE 9/11 truthers. That may qualify in some peoples minds as “Tea Party” fare — but it isn’t. Sounds more like the ramblings of Ron Paulers...
