Models this morning continue the trend of ticking northward and every little tick northward shifts the potential heavy snow and accumulating snow a tad further north. However, still appears that significant widespread moderate to heavy snowfall is expected in areas not accustomed to it. The snow is already ongoing in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex and I admit that as of Wednesday, I anticipated the heavy snow setting up just to its south. That isnt my thought, now. Looks like the Metroplex will see 4 to 8 of snow today into tonight. This heavy snow band will continue to shift eastward tonight and into Friday. It will also expand in coverage. So here is my updated snowfall accumulation forecast:

I’m curious how you compile your data...
Been snowing heavy all day in Shreveport but little is sticking.
parsy, who likes snow
We’re supposedly getting 1-3” tonight & in the am here in Mobile....we’ll see!
I think there’s like an 80% chance here in Auburn, AL tomorrow for snow and we’re supposed to get 2”-4”. The fun part is that I have to walk to class through it.
Big deal - you young people today have it easy. I had to walk to and from class through three feet of snow, uphill both ways, and fighting off wolves at the same time. And I was glad to be able to do it!

AMBER ALERT: Al Gore MIA during blizzards
It’s already sleeting here....
Lots of snow in DFW right now, but overnight low temperature predictions vary from 33 to 29 degrees. That could make all the difference tomorrow in what could be a very bad day for business. I hate this global warming. It costs me money.
Just barely. :)
I was on conference calls with some coworkers who work out of the Dallas area. They got 1 to 3 inches of snow and you’d think that the world was ending.
I am a little north of Shreveport and it’s been snowing since 8:30 this morning.
Everything is covered in white.
I’m so excited ! We’re from the deep south originally and this is only my 3rd snow event during my lifetime.
It has yet to let up. I AM LOVING IT !!!!
I saw it snow in Mobile in 1963. Still have pictures of it all over the cars and lawns and everything. I was working at Alabama Dry Dock when it started and the driving was exactly what you would expect from people totally unaccustomed to driving in snow or on ice!
Alabama boys like me aren’t used to snow.
Can you believe it? Those dumb hick Southerners can never hope to match the Yankee in tenacity.
If we get it tonight, that will be the first snow (that’s stays on the ground) here in 13 years. I lived in DC for 10 years and even though we got snow every year, they still drove like they were “totally unaccustomed to driving in snow or on ice”.....I don’t think anyone can and I don’t care where you live....LOL
I use standard forecasting techniques
My golly, your information seems to be spot on. Most excellent.
I see a development for the 25-26-27 time frame for another storm to hit the NE similar to the last two.
This one for Monday is just going to be a dusting of 3-7 for that area.
God, I love watching the weather. Very much an amateur here but I do have access to most of the stuff up the road at State College.
