This scenario points to just what the Republicans can expect when and if they attend the health care summit.

The Republicans should not accept O's invitation for a health care summit. But I don't get the analogy between that and Cong. Deal's request for NBC documentation, other than Obama's disdain for anything any congressional Republicans may ask of him.

Sorry for asking a question I've asked before, but wouldn't a reasonable next step for Deal be to ask the Hawaii Department of Health for copies of all the Obama-related vital records?

HDOH says that the records can only be granted to the individual, a relative or someone who has a tangible interest, right? Since congress is legally, constitutionally charged with the duty of impeachment (and thus the one body to whom the POTUS is most nearly directly accountable), why wouldn't a congressman have a valid, legal, tangible interest on this matter? My apologies if what “tangible interest” means to HDOH has already been spelled out somewhere and would obviously exclude congress.

Suppose a person goes to get a driver's license in his state and uses a paper he claims to be a valid Hawaii Birth Cert. If the official responsible to evaluate forms of ID in the driver's license bureau doubts the Birth Cert’s authenticity, could he not claim tangible interest in requesting verifying docs from Hawaii? Is that not closely analogous to a U.S. congressman asking for docs on an acting president?

I've included MissTickly and Butterdezillion because I see you as the foremost freepers when it comes to expertise and focus in dealing with HDOH. Is there some congressman out there (Posey, Deal etc.) who if presented with a pre-worded official request would simply sign off and send it from his email account and then promise to report the results or reply? Has that already happened? Do you have a guess about how HDOH would reply?

It can't. Of course not. Yet, right there, on his campaign web site F.T.S., it's stated that a foreign government "governed" Barry from birth and the reason it did, was that Barry inherited that foreign citizenship by way of his foreign national father (no matter where he was born).
How, then, could he possibly be a "Natural Born Citizen" of the U.S.?

Furthermore:  Hawaii's Territorial Law, Chapter 57 - "VITAL STATISTICS, I", shown beginning pg 23 of 29, (the law in effect in 1961) allowed baby's born anywhere in the world to be eligible to apply for a Hawaii birth certificate.

You are 100% correct.

I think he could argue a case and I also that anyone who has made a UIPA request and has been denied could argue a successful case..especially an enlisted person.

The problem is finding a lawyer who will argue it.

Given that anyone denied a UIPA request has standing for a judicial appeal, it makes me wonder why none of these lawyers have tried it.

But, YES, I think it could be easily argued and won in front of a judge.
