I have been working out at a LA Fitness in the area noticed the other day that MSNBC and CNN has replaced Fox New.
I spoke with management they said that the corporate headquarters now directly control whats broadcast as the boxes were pulled from the gym.
He specifically asked corporate heads for one TV to air Fox his request was denied.
Every other channel are the same except for Fox News which was on 4 tv's being replaced by MSNBC and CNN.
Is this the future of America?
I have found one story back in 2009 that speaks to the same censorship of FOX.
Maybe its a gradually strategy? If anyone is having the same issue with this gym let me know.
I have been trying to get through to their upper management for comment.
If your interested here is LA Fitness headquarters on this topic below is the number.

I’m glad to hear that.
Fox News gets better ratings at 3AM than CNN in prime time. From what I read.
Brilliant idea great to know their are freepers out their like yourself.
OK. I go to Gold’s in Hollywood, more than 30 channels and nobody there dared bitch to me about switching channels.
never heard of it LLO, but thanks for the info. Time for a ‘change’..(not the idiotic “change” that morons chanted in 2008)
They probably don't care. Gyms don't make their money on retaining customers. They make their money selling new memberships. Old members just clog up the machines when they're giving the new mark the sales pitch about how there's never a wait to get on anything.
Bad business decision
The fact that they are taking the power away from the local gym to get Fox off the air doesnt bother many people is surprising.
For people to tell me to quit is obvious but not to be concerned over such actions makes me wonder if our nation is in worse shape than I thought.
Didnt Comcast just buy NBC?
I would think it would be a conflict of interest.
What happens if they choose not to air their number one competitior?
Whats the name of your cable operator?
Fox has a financial problem with Time-Warner. Fox wants $1 per subscriber from TW, which is a significant increase from prior agreement.
This is financial, not political.
It’s their business, they can ban whatever they want.
You know what to do.
Indeed, but the customer IS KING.
If they don’t switch back - WALK
Yes inform people to their policies as I have done with this post...
What are you talking about?
In this instance it has nothing to do with money it is available in their satellite package.
“Whats the name of your cable operator?”
OneLink Communications. It’s a stateside investor group that purchased Greater San Juan’s cable system. Judging from other’s queries, they don’t have a significant presence in the mainland U.S.
Its not my cable operator its the gyms satellite not cable?
“Time for a change”
Funny thing is, I cancelled my subscription when they dumped FNC. They came in and cut a neighbor’s service instead of mine. They then had to come back and restore my neighbor’s service, but never disconnected mine. I’ve tried to set that straight but I guess they’re like government and can’t get around to it. The leftover programming is lousy anyway.
Not the only gym in town.
Actually, I work for a gym. We make our money on the long term customers.
And my membership dues
Buh bye LAF
