Controversy surrounded the Tim Tebow and Mom Super Bowl ad long before it aired last night ... MSNBC said this morning that it was one of the worst Super Bowl commercials of the night.
The pre-Super Bowl discussion was primarily focused on the issue of abortion - whether that was an option or not for Mrs. Tebow when she was pregnant with Tim, and whether CBS should broadcast a decidedly pro-life commercial. Focus on the Family, a Christian organization, created and sponsored the commercial featuring the 2009 Heisman Trophy Winner and his loving mother.
Now that everyone has had a chance for themselves to see the ad (if not, then you can watch it [included with article] Are you as disappointed as the reporters at MSNBC? Was the commercial a let down? Maybe you like it and thought it was actually sweet and surprising. Vote in the poll [included with article]

100% I liked it.
How anyone can take offense of this add escapes me. But if you’re agenda driven, I suppose you can find hate in anything. What a way to live a life (including seeing to it that others don’t get the chance to live theirs...).
Yeah. MSNBC is reliable.
They are such losers at MSNBC that they have to keep showing re-runs of lock-up to stay afloat.
"That ad did serious damage to one of our cherished political opinions. We must now go into full scale spin mode to try and control the damage that did to our political dogma."
I think that they got their message across in the run-up to
the game. The MSM is in a snit because they think the rabble is starting to think for themselves and they’re losing control!
Is there a link to the Betty White ad?
The absolute worst ad was the Katie Couric interview of President Obama.
The worst ad was the Census one. Now that was confusing.
Actually, MSNBC did NOT say it was one of the worst. It said it wasn’t a very good commercial, and not worth the hype. But it wasn’t in their list of the 5 worst commercials.
And they blamed CBS for putting the Tebow commercial right after the Betty White commercial, since having just seen Betty White tackled, it wasn’t as much of a shock when Tebow tackles his mother.
MSNBC had that census ad as one of their worst 5.
Since I forgot the Super Bowl was on, did the Census Bureau run that stupid add that wasted $2.5 million of our tax dollars?
I watched MSNBC this morning and after they mentioned the “best” they turned the conversation to address the “worst” and “most disappointing” and the first one mentioned was the Tim Tebow ad
I went to their web site and looked at their list of top 5 commercials and worst 5 commercials, and read their accompanying article.
One question: Was this what used to be called a “client-produced commercial”?
Who the hell cares what msnbc or anyone else thinks? They are not the judge of anything. The commercial was fun filled with a serious message and in the end you can see the joy and love that came to the family of Tim Tebow.
Keep up the good work Tebow family. While you are out there doing good the critics are swimming in hate and vile.
Mr. Tebow said it best when he gave advice to anyone out there who might be pregant and not knowing what to do. He said to get help, God loves them but...”don’t kill your baby.” What a powerful statement.
People always make fun of and mock things they don’t or can’t understand or...things they don’t like and when someone as good as the Tebow family speaks theri minds about something...the opposition goes wild. Their way or the highway. Well, news flash for the opposition. As much as they may want it their way...that’s not how it happens. Mrs. Tebow had a CHOICE (Fem term, eh?) and she made her choice. The opposition only wants CHOICE the way THEY want you to choose. Idiots all and so ignorant, ill informed and soul less. God Bless the Tebows. They will continue to help others while the oppositon limps towards such ugliness inside them. But...we still have to pray for those as well and so we do. But...babies WILL be saved.
Of course it was disappointing. It wasn’t the fire breathing anti abortion ad they expected, and it made them look like fools.
What a putrid ad!
Too bad focus on the family didn’t run this by a focus group; because the ad did not seem to have a focus!
It almost sounded as if it were for healthcare!
It didn’t mention that life was valuable....just that Mrs. Tebow was strong. Weird ad.
Good idea....weird ad.
