The government seems to mess up everything, even the color of cars. While I'm not so fond of Viridian Joule, Inferno Orange, Tucson Bronze and other crazy car colors, some people are. But in this bad economy those colors are seen less and less each day. The government and its policies have kept this economy at rock bottom and the color of cars sort of bland.

Just wait till the brown Trabant is all we can buy.
My guess is that the gaudier colors may reduce resale value.
: )
As long as my favorite two tone is still available.
Lime green/grape purple with blue interior.
You’re a Shriner?

I can have BROWN??? Srsly?
I LUV socialism!
I used to make interior door skins for Cadillacs. You could read the tags on them which was how we knew what needed to be done but we made doors for pink caddies with green interiors.
I remember reading probably 40 years ago that yellow cars mean the economy is on the upswing.
Recently I noticed that all the cars in the local super-market parking lot were either black or grey. I bought a fire engine red one. Easier to find.
That's enough to make one queasy!
Mary Kay cadillacs.
We also made pimpmobile doors that were burgandy to go with cream colored cars.
ARE YOU DOWN WITH THE BROWN???
You could start a trend with your pick. :-)
Eww. Yuck. That car is just screaming out for a RED interior, not blue.
We went to Russia to see DH’s family (teaching over there) and DS1, age 9, after a couple of days, blurted out, “There’s that same car!” Off white Opel-ish sort of thing. BIL (the teacher) laughed and said many of the available cars were one model and one color.
Hope we are not headed that way. We do seem to have only one color of vehicle on the road anymore — grayish beige, the color of dirt.
Hey, wasn’t it Henry Ford himself that said: ‘You can have any color you like. As long as its black.’?
