If Tea Party activists are unhappy with President Barack Obama, it would have been a lot worse under President John McCain, Tom Tancredo declared Thursday in opening remarks at the convention in Nashville, Tenn.

‘He would have been a great president.’

“Yeah... if there was only one issue in the country to solve... the immigration issue... LOL...”

I think he ended up with almost a 99 lifetime ACU rating.

That’s hard to beat by anyone.

And since you bring it up, and for the record... I think the primaries should not be open and should only be for the party itself. :-)

Agreed 100%.

And also for the record, I agree with your contention that laws need to be changed to prevent a Constitutionally unqualified candidate from even running for office in the future.

We only violently disagree about what we need to do right now to winkle the usurper out of office.

True, but "MY" Tea Parties and the Tea Party Nation really took hold with Rick Santelli's announcement!

That's when I showed an interest too Chief!

Proof that he isn't the antichrist.

If you can arrange for him to be "struck to death" and not fully recover for the world to marvel at him, that would suffice.

NOTE TO OMNIVORE: it's a Bible based joke/irony, not a solicitation for any ilegal activity.

Some people are useful on issues and for stirring up people and getting some action going and political movement on a subject. For the immigration issue, I thought he was great, but I don't think he's going to get a lot of political support in order to move some legislation. I think that would take another kind of candidate.

You were saying ...

We only violently disagree about what we need to do right now to winkle the usurper out of office.

Well, on that part of it... if any of the stuff that birthers were working on, was actually causing that to happen, then they wouldn't be getting hammered about it from other FReepers and other conservatives.

And to sum it up very quickly here, I think it just comes down to these two things... (the two "issues" that are relevant for the birther issue). It comes down to (1) birthplace and then (2) the issue of citizenship of the parents.

I think the birthplace issue is done for (in my own estimation of it). I think he was born in Hawaii, but it's going to require that state law I was talking about to see the birth certificate. So, that's one part of the equation.

The other part, concerning the citizenship of his parents, that's an issue that is in dispute and thus it's going to take the Supreme Court to weigh in on it and settle it for the two opposing sides of that issue.

Now, from what I see, showing the birth certificate can be accomplished pretty easily, if people would just get down to the state level and work on it, politically. That shouldn't be a problem.

The other part, though, I don't see happening while Obama is in office.

So, if people think that they're going to get Obama out of office by either of these two methods -- I don't see it as happening.

If Obama is taken out of office, it's going to be because he's voted out this next election or he leaves after two terms -- it's going to be the one or the other that gets him out of office.

That's the way I see it and I think a large group of other conservatives see it that way, too...

“Sometimes I say to myself, ‘Can I really do this?’” Tancredo said of supporting McCain. “And then you listen to Obama or Hillary and say, ‘Yeah, I have to.’”

You were saying ...

Proof that he isn't the antichrist.

Well, starting point I would go for this one is to the book of Daniel and with the prophecy that has to do with the antichrist and where he comes from.

It's the prophecy that Jesus referred to in Daniel and also the one that talks about the Messiah of Israel being "cut-off" and then the "prince that shall come" -- which is the Antichrist.

It's in Daniel Chapter 9 ...

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the
commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the
Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street
shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but
not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall
destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with
a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in
the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation
to cease , and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make
it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall
be poured upon the desolate .

Now, with some Bible prophecy teachers, they are saying that this refers to the Roman Empire and that the prince to come will be from the Roman Empire, which will be the revived Roman Empire of the last days and thus, this prince to come will be from that area, which is Europe (or Eastern Europe, too).

And others say that this prince to come refers to a Syrian component and that this Antichrist will be a Syrian, because the troops were composed of locals in that area and not from the general Roman Empire, so they are saying that this refers to him being a "prince to come" from those whom he commanded.

In all cases, there's no Biblical support for the Antichrist being outside of the Roman Empire (or as the Bible indicates the "revival" of the world empire, the revived Roman Empire, which will rule the world at the time) and thus, not being a part of it.

That's one key and main starting point for identifying the Antichrist. And we can go on from there... but in Obama's case, he can't get beyond just this "starting point" in being the "Antichrist".... LOL...

You were saying ...

Actually, that's a very good point and I think the Bible is clear on it, too -- in that this guy who comes in (and turns out to be the Antichrist) is very smooth and will beguile the world into believing him and will. Heck, he will even get the Israelis to go along with a 7-year peace agreement in the Middle East, causing the whole world to celebrate the end to the conflict over there, and also be instrumental in the Jews rebuilding their Temple over there in Jerusalem.

Now, ask yourself this question... "Obama can do that?!" ... LOL...

[ ... and that's saying nothing about the "heritage" that Obama doesn't have that the Antichrist must have, according to the Bible... :-) ...]

Hey, null and void, good to see you.

Both candidates were despicable. And folks like to dismiss McCain is a Panamanian citizen, born in Colon, Republic of Panama. We had double trouble this time.
