Agreed 100%.
And also for the record, I agree with your contention that laws need to be changed to prevent a Constitutionally unqualified candidate from even running for office in the future.
We only violently disagree about what we need to do right now to winkle the usurper out of office.

Well, on that part of it... if any of the stuff that birthers were working on, was actually causing that to happen, then they wouldn't be getting hammered about it from other FReepers and other conservatives.
And to sum it up very quickly here, I think it just comes down to these two things... (the two "issues" that are relevant for the birther issue). It comes down to (1) birthplace and then (2) the issue of citizenship of the parents.
I think the birthplace issue is done for (in my own estimation of it). I think he was born in Hawaii, but it's going to require that state law I was talking about to see the birth certificate. So, that's one part of the equation.
The other part, concerning the citizenship of his parents, that's an issue that is in dispute and thus it's going to take the Supreme Court to weigh in on it and settle it for the two opposing sides of that issue.
Now, from what I see, showing the birth certificate can be accomplished pretty easily, if people would just get down to the state level and work on it, politically. That shouldn't be a problem.
The other part, though, I don't see happening while Obama is in office.
So, if people think that they're going to get Obama out of office by either of these two methods -- I don't see it as happening.
If Obama is taken out of office, it's going to be because he's voted out this next election or he leaves after two terms -- it's going to be the one or the other that gets him out of office.
That's the way I see it and I think a large group of other conservatives see it that way, too...
