Political Lore ^ | AlexNobles

Haiti is sitting on one of the biggest untouched oil reserves in the world. If anything the earthquake has proven this, as oil is being found everywhere. In 2008 Metrople Haiti.com reported that Haiti could have larger oil reserves than even Venezuela.

If the USA were truly serious about oil, they'd be drilling rahm emanuel's greasy head.

The flaw in this, at least to me, is that the US is sitting on extremely large reserves of oil (and coal). If we were so interested producing oil, our worthless government would allow it to take place here.

I see two reasons we’d be covering Haiti for the oil
1- We don’t want the Cubans, Chinese or Chavezes getting control of it and wielding it as a weapon.
2 - As we all know, it’s OK to drill anywhere but the US. Apparently oil is clean if it comes from somewhere else.

IOW, our government doesn’t care about more energy, which is good for the world, and us.

I’m not convinced the dimwits running this country have enough reasoning ability to come up with 1 or 2. We’re in Haiti because it feels good. And if it happens to benefit the people there, well, they guess that’s OK, too.

Yea - we’re gonna do the same thing with the Haitian oil as we did with the Iraqi oil.

The man is insane, especially when there are over 500 billion barrels sitting in N. Dakota untapped.
