Dont you hate it when you go to a 50% off sale and then realize the store marked up all the prices in order to offer the big savings? Welcome to President Barack Obamas spending freeze.
Its hard to keep up with the shocking numbers under Obama. Federal spending was up 18% in his first year and the deficit was $1.4 trillion, almost three times greater than it was the previous year. Thats 9.9% of 2009s GDP, more than three times the post World War II average. (Sorry, Barry, but you cant blame it all on Bush. That budget was done under a Democrat House and Senate and signed by you. ) Depending on whose numbers you believe federal nondefense discretionary spending will increase another 7-10% for 2010.
The Congressional Budget Office says well run at least another $1.35 trillion deficit. The average deficit for 2011-2020 will be around $600 billion per year. Even in Washington thats a lot of money.
The spending boom has not stimulated the economy and unemployment has climbed to over 10%.
But dont worry. Now that Obama has created government gone wild he wants a spending freeze to save your money. As my dad used to tell my mom after she bragged about all the money she saved while shopping, We cant afford to save anymore.
How much will we save? It depends on what spending freeze means.
Here is the spending that wont be frozen:
* The $787 billion stimulus Whoops, its now $862 billion according to the CBO
* The new stimulus sorry, jobs program
* Any new health care plan
* Medicare
* Medicaid
* Social Security
* Veterans Affairs
* Homeland Security
* Defense
Here is the spending that will

Barry is GOOD at BAIT AND SWITCH! BASTARD!
Spending freze won’t do it. We’re talking about mountains of accumulated debt over decades, adding up to tens of trillions of debt. This little $2.5T pile of debt is just this year.
In order to right the ship, government would have to cut down by over half for about 20 years, AND cut taxes on all businesses, specifically those who do R & D and successfully put their ideas in the market.
Don’t hold your breath.

Hey it takes a lot of effort to bankrupt the most productive country in the world. Make no mistake this is a direct attack on the freedom and sovereignty of our great country.
OMG, he’s on TV again giving another campaign speech. Who the hell is taking care of the Country????
Are you talking about the NH townhall? He was in rare form wasn’t he? If you didn’t know what he was truly doing, everything he said sounded great. He was a conservative.
Yes, I hate that. I received an email the other day from Princess Cruise for 50% off a 15 day land/sea tour of Alaska, called and prices were higher than they were 3 months ago when there wasn’t a sale.
If dishonest, globalist “progressives” with their PACs of harpy bandwagons successfully push libertine, globalist Republican candidates into office with rhetoric, you won’t see smaller government. Without admittance of conservative men into election debates, the big default is the only way. And the default is in front of us, so let it come.
