Heads up: After Armageddon on the History channel Saturday, January 30 08:00 AM
A fairly decent special on what would happen during a SHTF situation. The program tries to be as anti-gun as possible, but anyone reading between the lines will understand that Guns will be as much of a life saving tool as food and water. As with a lot of things, you take what information you can from the program and disregard the rest. Encourage others to watch this to help convince that they need to prepare and arm themselves.

At one point during the show the people in the Armageddon situation come across a dead man with a gun in his SUV they make a disparaging comment that this guys wanted to be a cowboy or something. But later on the woman uses that same gun to save her husband's life.
There no denying that guns will be an important piece of Live -saving equipment in this type of situation along with food and water.
A good program to watch or DVR.

I understand you buy a gun and then later-on sell it privately for some unknown reason and buy another. Pretty soon the 4473’s are stacked up like cord wood.
Actually on a serious note the program does make the point rather obliquely that you are going to want to be armed in this type of situation.
The government and the looters will most assuredly be armed if you aren’t you’ll be dead meat.

Last night drove home a point that has been made by many and that is that Obama isn't just a malignant narcissist, he's also psychopathically so. By that I mean that he's a narcissist with the a huge dollop of psychopathic rage toward anyone who disagrees with him.
Not a hint of contrition in his voice last night. Not a hint of real concern about Americans. No shame in, well, trying to publicly shame the Supreme Court.
The abundance of retreaded lies demonstrates his profound contempt for American voters and the democratic process in this country.
This is the reason that I am going to continue to add to my modest armory.
This week or next, I am going to add a Ruger .380...stealth is an often overlooked advantage.

I have stopped watching the History Channel because no matter how unrelated the topic is, they always wind up with a jab about AGW.

"This week or next, I am going to add a Ruger .380...stealth is an often overlooked advantage." What is a Ruger .380? I am at work and cannot look it up on our browsers (blockers at a high school).

Also, be aware that .380 ammunition is about the hardest to find on the market right now ...
I've had an order waiting for stock now for five months for my step-daughter's pistol.

History Channel, as well as it’s brother The Military Channel, have made an overt left turn in their programming. It is apparent and repellant. The “Life after Man” series takes an almost giddy tone at mankind’s demise, and always throws in a bit about how “mankind destroyed the enviromnent, but now she heals herself”. Typical hippy nonsense from people who ought to know better.

I find it increasingly amusing that all of those programs that focus on the 2010 apocalypse prediction seem to be deliberately ignorant about what the issue is.
But anyone with any brains should be able to figure it out whoops! I assumed the Leftists have brains that’s always a mistake.
This whole 2012 apocalypse is something to ponder anybody got a read on what the 2012 problem could be?

I get the same vibe in fact the program I mentioned may do that as well. Still, it’s a good conversation starter for getting people to prepare.

The apocalypse in Haiti was an earthquake - in 1956 Cuba it was Castro - in China is was Mao. All people know ...sometimes - sometimes - luck runs out - where they're standing. When they're standing.

WHEN AND WHERE YOU NEED IT. The Ruger® LCP is a compact .380 Auto from the industry leader in rugged, reliable firearms. From backup firearms for law enforcement to licensed carry for personal protection, the LCP is the perfect choice.
Designed with both male and female shooters in mind, the LCP is as affordable as it is reliable. At just 9.40 ounces (with an empty magazine), the LCP is lightweight and ideal for all-day carry - ensuring you have it when and where you need it.
I think this is the actual size (it is 5.16" long, 3.60" tall, and 0.82" wide, 6+1 capacity)...

Gun Wisdom
Clint Smith, Director of Thunder Ranch, is part drill instructor, and part stand up comic.
Here are a few of his observation on tactics, firearms, self defense and life as we know it in the civilized world.
"The handgun would not be my choice of weapon if I knew I was going to a fight....I'd choose a rifle, a shotgun, an RPG or an atomic bomb instead."
"The two most important rules in a gunfight are: always cheat and always win."
"Every time I teach a class, I discover I don't know something."
"Don't forget, incoming fire has the right of way."
"Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets. I may get killed with my own gun, but he's gonna have to beat me to death with it, cause it's going to be empty."
"If you're not shootin', you should be loadin'. If you're not loadin', you should be movin', if you're not movin', someone's gonna cut your head off and put it on a stick."
"When you reload in low light encounters, don't put your flashlight in your back pocket. If you light yourself up, you'll look like an angel or the tooth fairy and you're gonna be one of 'em pretty soon."
"Do something. It may be wrong, but do something."
"Nothing adds a little class to a sniper course like a babe in a Ghilliesuit."
"Shoot what's available, as long as it's available, until something else becomes available."
"If you carry a gun, people will call you paranoid. That's ridiculous. If I have a gun, what in the hell do I have to be paranoid for."
"Don't shoot fast, shoot good."
"You can say 'stop' or 'alto' or use any other word you think will work but I've found that a large bore muzzle pointed at someone's head is pretty much the universal language."
"You have the rest of your life to solve your problems. How long you live depends on how well you do it."
"You cannot save the planet. You may be able to save yourself and your family."
"Thunder Ranch will be here as long as you'll have us or until someone makes us go away and either way it will be exciting."
And More Excellent Gun Wisdom....... The purpose of fighting is to Win. There is no possible victory in defense.
The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either.
The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.
Lasergrips Are An Immediate Decisive Advantage

And, with an unobtrusive Crimson Trace laser, its a nice little sidearm.
