As an aside, does anyone know whether there has been a backlash against Sarah by Conservatives, as in inundating her with emails expressing their displeasure and asking her to reconsider?
I for one has just done so thru her SarahPac Email: info@sarahpac.com
That might or might not have any affect, but it certainly would send her a message of our angst over this issue which is certain to divide those of us who will support JD and her and others who will support and actively work for McLame.
That is not to suggest this will be a bridge burning issue, but will certainly create a schism of her most loyal supporters who are bent on ridding Congress of RINO's of which McLame is the poster boy and those who will toe the establishment line--and which I thought Sarah opposed.

Hey, you piece of cr*! - learn to READ!! I said Sarah is nationally LIKED and that has nothing to do with McShame! He's NATIONALLY DISLIKED! I KNOW you never said anything about 'liked' - you are TOO fully of hatred. So the person calling me a "piece of cr*" is telling me I'M full of hatred!
You're as hilarious as you are hypocritical. Not to mention childish.

JD hasnt officially thrown his hat into the ring. Well after resigning from his talk show yesterday, it appears that it is but a matter of formally announcing his intent to run and if so, I predict he will get as much support from us Conservatives as Scott did in Mass., which will give the Corrupt State-Run Media something to gloat over and no doubt give much aid and comfort to the far left nutroots like Huff&PuffPost and DummyUnderground.
Sadly, as we know, anything that Palin does will be scrutinized and twisted by the Leftist Loons more so than anyone else and it saddens me she will be exposed to even more vitriol and attacks as a result of her decision to support McLame.
I only hope that the attacks on her remains from the Left and does not materialize by her supporters and we can support JD and still not demonize her for he misguided decision.
After all, who amongst us have not made poor choices? If push came to shove and I gave it much thought, I could probably come up with 1 or 2 I made over the past 66 years. lol

I feel sorry for Sarah. She’s durned if she does, and durned if she doesn’t. I doubt that she can change her mind now about campaigning for McCain. That would just give the left-wing nut jobs more fuel to add to the fire. Not only would they say she’s a quitter, but, lacks loyalty as well.
Now, if JD, who is more conservative than McCain, does run, she’s going to be labeled a RINO. Oh what a mess!

Catsrus: “None of those states will ever vote for a strict conservative Republican”
How in the world can you know that? Yeah, let’s just write those states off, because they will never vote for a conservative??? Are you omniscient? Didn’t Reagan win a lot of so-called liberal states? Wasn’t he pretty conservative?
What exactly are you saying? Should we back RINOs over conservatives based on your OPINION that conservatives can’t win in the NE? You do know popular OPINION said Coakley was a shoe in, right? Yeah, Scott Brown, a virtual unknown who was touted by Democrats as a far-right tea-bagging fascist, didn’t have a chance, eh?

Judging from the past few elections, no Republican since Ronald Reagan, has carried the NE. I based my comments on that. The candidates who run as Republicans in the NE, for the most part, are RINO’s. The jury is still out on Scott Brown, but, I seriously doubt if he had been a far-right conservative, that he would’ve been elected.
He is conservative on many issues, but, moderate on others. Yes, Reagan won all states as a conservative, but, we have to remember that Jimmy Carter was one horrible president. Reagan cleaned his clock and used the phrase, “are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?” And, we weren’t. Our military was in shambles, we had high unemployment and double digit interest rates.
Yes, popular opinion had Martha Coakley as a shoe-in. Mainly, because MA is the bluest of blue states and she thought she’d just coast to victory. However, Scott ran a magnificent campaign on the issues that mattered to MA. I think that if obama weren’t such a bad president, Scott probably wouldn’t have won. So, regardless of what the pundits like to say, this was a referendum on obama and his policies.
These are a few reasons upon which I based my comments.

This is really getting tiresome. How many stories in 3 days can be posted about Palin supporting McCain.
1st, it's hilarious that people act shocked that Palin would associate herself with McCain. LOL Yeah, she was only his RUNNING MATE in 2008 and she campaigned and supported him like nobody's business. And now you want to act surprised that if she supported him for President, she's supporting him for the Senate?
2nd, who did JD Hayworth endorse for President in the GOP's 2000 and 2008 primaries? Was it none other than John McCain? Sooo, let's see...McCain is far from being the most conservative candidate in the 2000 and 2008 primaries, yet Hayworth endorsed him. And now, we're all supposed to get our panties in a wad because Palin is supporting McCain. Shouldn't all of you questioning Palin's judgment, be questioning Hayworth's too? And don't give some lame response like "well, Hayworth was just supporting his fellow Arizonian". Well, Sarah is just supporting the man who tapped her Vice President.
3rd, you people now turning on Sarah really didn't know Sarah to begin with. Read her book and learn a little more about her. One thing you will learn is that she is not a hard-core partisan. She wasn't raised that way. Yes, she is a fiscal and social conservative. She also works with and respects people of character, even if they don't see eye-to-eye with her on every issue. She obviously got to know McCain much better than you or I while being vetted for the VP slot and afterward. She considers him an American hero with a lot of integrity. Is it so hard to believe that she would support a guy she knows well and admires?

I can understand Palin endorsing McCain for reelection.
Is it a black mark on her record? Sure it is.
Should her supporters, fans and admirers reject her for it? No.
I still hope JD wins.

Hayworth endorsed him
and many voted for McCain - why? Because it was him or BHO. Does that mean anyone who voted for McCain are hypocrites if they want his butt out of that seat NOW!
Get real! McCain was saved a huge embarrassment in '08 because those that voted for McCain ONLY did it because Sarah was on the ticket. Why do you think he picked Sarah as his running mate? Strictly to get the conservative vote - to balance his own RINO stance.

That's what I recall, and it's been discussed before here on FR. I don't have any "links".
