Ok, ok... settle down - yes of course there are a few - but VERY FEW. In fact so few of the top talk radio programs are hosted by women it begs the question - WHY? As I look at the 39 top programs in Talk Radio (according to Talkers Magazine) - I see a measly 5 women on the list. Not saying the women are measly - just the number!
Let's consider the top programs:
Rush Limbaugh Sean Hannity Glenn Beck Michael Savage Dr. Laura Schlessinger Laura Ingraham Mark Levin Dave Ramsey Neal Boortz Mike Gallagher Michael Medved Jim Bohannon Doug Stephan Bill Bennett Jerry Doyle
There are only 2 women in this top list - both Laura's... both huge stars, but only 2.
So why are there so...

Who cares?
Few women have radio voices. They just do not come across well on radio. Some men don’t have good radio voices either. Rush is an example. He trained his voice for the radio. I remember 10+ years ago he demonstrated his natural voice and it was obvious he would not be the master of the airwaves that he is had he not trained his voice for radio.
Let’s not forget Rose Tenet who runs The Quinn And Rose Program..out of Pittsburgh Pa which is heard across America. She has subbed for Hannity’s Radio Program!!
They can be watched on television with the volume turned down. ;-)

Who cares? The victimization affirmative action crowd. Ingraham used to play this card, which got her through her initial years when she was unlistenable - sounded like a valley-girl. She has improved a lot, but intellectually perhaps isn’t even as good as Hannity.... Nowhere near as good as Levin, Rush, and a number of second tier guys. Still, she is occasionally interesting, but a similar male talent would not have been given that opportunity.
High voices (women’s) are more difficult to listen
to on the air. Sorry.

When they can get all the women yammering away they want for free, why on earth would any man in his right mind spend his leisure time looking for more of it on the radio?
The secret is, if you want a man to pay attention to what you have to say, talk less, but make those words you do say count.
Monica Crowly is my favorite non-British speaker of the English language. I can listen to her forever. The Brits have a way with their language; after that, MONICA!!!!
I had the pleasure a year or two ago of listening to Laura Ingram, Monica Crowly and Ann Coulter on the radio together, it was a Saturday morning on WABC NY, as we were driving upstate... ahhhh, to listen to 3 beautiful, articulate, intelligent, conservative women - what fun!!!
does anyone listen to Mary Walter on Fox radio? I have not, I’ve only seen her on Red Eye. Last night in fact she was in the leg-chair, and she’s got a fine pair of legs, nice shoulders, and a nice voice also.
So are your proposing quotas or Affirmative Action programs?
Let them earn it!
