Epic Pass/Epic Fail(Scott Brown v Dem Machine)
Bald Eagle Press ^ | 1/19/2010 | Michael Di Domenico

The Democrats have proven time and again this past year that nothing is more important to them than the legacy of this healthcare bill; not rules, not their personal careers, not even what the people of the country think or want. They’ve been marching en masse toward this cliff and with their disregard for everything but their agenda now nakedly exposed, they have little choice but to continue. The thought that now, at the five yard line and heading into the end zone, this little election in Massachusetts might push them out-of-bounds, will only cause them to dig in deeper; find some way around this possibly final obstacle.

On Tuesday, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will go to the polls to fill the US Senate seat left warm when the corpulent Ted Kennedy bought the proverbial wind farm last summer. What should have been a no-brainer election for liberal-leaning Massachusetts, has suddenly drawn tighter than Nancy Pelosi’s face.

The way they are spinning the Healthcare Bill if Brown wins and they pass it anyway is that once we see the bill, we will be so enamored with it, we will thank them for it. Talk like this scares me to pants filling, boot wetting levels. The only metaphor I have for this is my sister’s stalker. He would actually say that if she went out with him for even a short while, she would learn to love him. There was no way to make this guy understand. I kicked his ass a couple of times, one of those times I held him down while my sister kicked him and he still did not get the message. She married someone else and he still did not stop coming around. Like the Democrats, he could not wrap his head around the truth. One day, he just left and we have never heard from him since....and I will not deviate from that story under advice from my attorney.

They very well may try a last-ditch force-it-through effort, but at this point, if Brown wins convincingly in Mass. (and I’m still not counting my chickens), then it will be clear beyond peradventure to everyone other than the freaks who inhabit DU that they’ve engaged in an anti-American, anti-democratic power grab along precisely the same lines as Hugo Chavez did in Venezeula, at which point they will be lucky if they get to retire without actual bloodshed in the streets.
