Scott Brown is going to win tomorrow, and possibly by double digits. Given all the speculation that the Dems will attempt shenanigans to delay seating him in order to pass Obamacare, and given the cogent opinion that in fact, as soon as the results are finalized, he is indeed the next sitting US Senator from Massachussets, there is one thing that Brown should, and can do, that will make it just about impossible for the Dems to try any funny stuff.. Read on..
I have no problem talking about this election and the polls. It has been a good time to be checking FR all day here the past week.
I’m just concerned that the “tone” of some of the news/talk coverage tonight shifted to ramifications of “the Brown win” as if it took place yesterday.
It hasn’t happened yet and this will be close. Blue, blue states like MA, WI, CA, WA, etc. really need a knockout for a Republican to win.
I wouldnt wait until Friday..and I like the idea of driving down in the truck..I don't. 0bama would be waiting in his trunk along I-90.
Two weeks ago, I said Coakley would win the open Senate seat held for 47 years by Ted Kennedy, by a 55%-45% margin. Since then, there has been remarkable movement both in Massachusetts and nationwide toward a “Tea Party” mindset. The focus has been drawn sharply on the birthplace of the American Revolution. It seems the People have taken exception to John Kerry’s declaration that Democrats need to “keep Ted Kennedy’s seat.” As Scott Brown has declared, “it’s not Ted Kennedy’s seat, it’s the Peoples seat!”
So, now the polls have turned around, but what will the only poll that matters say tomorrow night? One polling place had Scott Brown, the Republican, up 51%-46% over Martha Coakley. Another today had the spread at 52%-43% in Browns favor. Sounds great! Hope it’s true. I’m skeptical.
Call it my suspicious nature. Blame it on my reading of history. Perhaps it’s due to my generally negative view of New England’s tendency to bow to some families as political dynasty, to see one class as the “intellectually superior,” meant to lead. Maybe I’ve read too much about all the dead people that vote in Chicago every election, or all those stupid hanging chads in Florida in 2000. I also recall the Black Panthers “standing guard” at Philadelphia polls in 2008. And then there is ACORN, under indictment in 13 states — for voter fraud. SEIU, the union thugs who roughed up Tea Party protesters last summer. Both hard at work in Massachusetts — for the Coakley campaign.
Unless Scott Brown “wins” by a large margin tomorrow, the “ACORN effect” can and will make up the difference. They did exactly that in a “close race” for Senate in 2008. Now, instead of a Coleman, we have a moron named Al Franken in the Senate. And all because, after several “recounts,” the margin closed, and magically, each time hundreds — thousands! — of extra Franken votes were “discovered.”
Can we expect anything different in Massachusetts? No, we can’t. And if it does not go the way the Leftist Extremists want it to, expect riots in the streets. Because they can. And they know they’ll get away with it.
I believe the margin will be close tomorrow. 51%-49% at best. And who will have the majority? It depends on how many ACORN votes are counted. If it comes down to just “a few thousand votes,” expect recounts for the next several weeks — and say “hello” to Senator Martha Coakley. Or is that “Marcia?” Guess we should ask Patrick Kennedy.

That might work! However, the dems cannot be shamed into doing anything.
Election results will take a couple days to certify, even if they hustle (and they wont). Until The Massachusetts Secretary of State certifies the election results, he will not be assigned a Senate parking space, IMHO.
Actually gonna take a few more days than that assuming there aren’t recounts. Remember NY23rd? This is a federal election also. The final tally can’t be done until the 10 day period after the election which is there for overseas absentee ballots to arrive. Then the final count process can begin along with certification if there’s not recounts, etc.
I disagree, the legalities are more complicated, and at the same time, more clear than that.
Put it this way:
As soon as the election is over, that Kirk guy, the placeholder, no longer has a vote in the Senate.
Good plan.
Has guts.
Has true grit.
I like it.
Some time early tomorrow evening, all the networks will ahve called the race for Brown, and we should have just about 100% of the polls reporting by 11PM. Brown will deliver a great victory speech, and be interviewed by every news organization. Then the victory celebration.
Wednesday morning, at 7am, Scott and his lovely wife should climb into his truck, gas it up, then head down I-95, acompanied by a caravan of supporters ( and a whole slew of news reporters and helicopters ) drive right in Washington DC, pull right up to the Senate, ask the Capital Hill police where senators are supposed to park, and annouince that he’s ready to start work immediately..
Think about it. An absolutely brilliant maneuver...it would garner national attention. Remember watching the Ryder truck drive the Florida ballots up to the courthouse? This would be 100x better.
Beckel also says if voter turn out is at least 35%, Coakley wins.
Uummmmmmmmmm Beckel, on the contrary, 20 to 25% of Mass Democrats have been polling for Brown.
Beckel is in la la land.
Yep.
I’m concerned that all the prognosticating today will make Brown’s voters complacent.
Don’t count those chickens till they hatch.
>>My son and family, his in - laws are staunch democrats
they are voting for Brown, and my daughter in law says every one she talks to is voting for Brown they live in South Bridge, and Boston...<<
I don’t want to get my hopes up, but a double-digit Brown lead (even acorn can’t queer the deal) would mean a LOT. It would be the HOPE that the USA needed so badly since January, 2009.
Bob Beckel says Scott Brown by 2 Points!
The Obama effect kicking in don’tcha see. Manage the polls so that the dem is looking like a sure loss then send in Obama to save the day... /sarc
I wanta watch you butter it.
You are wise to be skeptical and hold hopes in check.
The good news is that
1) Even a Brown loss is a win since the rats had to rush EVERY SINGLE RESOURCE available to shore up the battlements.
The even better news would be that 2) despite 1) above, the rats lose anyway!
As Hannity says — let not your heart be troubled. We can win small or win big, but we have already won :)
It’s worse when I have to sleep with the bread that you buttered.
This election does not require certification. If Brown wins, he is the Senator from that moment on.
.
Dont get over-confident. Keep working!

Live in or near MA? Volunteers still needed at many regional offices. If you can help, please email Laura@brownforussenate.com and she will tell you how.
If you live in Massachusetts, become an election judge. In Boston they pay $135-$185 and they NEED Republican monitors.
Needed; military and retired law enforcement VFW and police organizations etc to monitor polls- prevent the voter fraud theyre plotting right now. Video tape everything; document everything; prosecute the perpetrators. http://www.cityofboston.gov/news/default.aspx?id=3599
Sounds like you have it easy. I’m still sitting here waiting for my toast to hatch.
