CNN and Fox News report last night that Sarah Palin in signing on to Fox News as commentator starting tinight on O'Reilly! Two videos from CNN and Fox News announcing the fact combined on one page for your conveience. (Moderator: If this violates Free Rebublic policy, please PM me, otherwise I'll assume it's OK) Conservatives rule!

Yes. These are the new trolls. Like the old trolls, they select "overly" conservative caricature names (like reallyreallyreallyconservitivedude or iloveamerica1980) to try to fit in.
Instead of posting directly, they are creating a fog of threads with useless links with no discernable value. They’re posting threads so often, they don’t even have time to spell check.
This may be the downfall of FR, if the mgt doesn’t do something.
I detested the O’Really interview with sarah. He is so full of himself. I REALLY try to give the Fox people the benefit of the doubt, but it is quite hard with him

I can’t speak for “reallyreallyreallyconservitivedude” but as for myself, judge me by what I’ve posted. If it benefits the conservative cause and promotes discussion then it serves the purpose for which Free Republic was created in the first place!

Nope, never said it! I’m assuming that you’re waiting to hear back from the moderator while simultaineously refusing to stay on topic.
Now, if the mods don't want to enforce this, so be it.
Tanker, the modorator will have to expand on that definition. Here’s why: Blog sources (from serious bloggers) are really no different from news sources nowadays as they both (should) contain information that is assembled in a unisue format that differs from other available medium. I.E.: Some contain text only, some audio only, some video only and some a combination. Some also contain additional information unique from the others, i.e.: unique commentary and such. It’s difficult to transfer the complexity and creativity of blog context withn a post here, therefore some of us use our blog URL’s instead. We’re talking about ONE extra click. Because of this, the afore mentioned blogs cannot fall under the “spam” catagory. As long as the blogger returns to engage the comments within his newly created thread, then there should be no problem. I can only assume that the moderators remove threads which are “not appropriate” nor newsworthty. As of yet, I still have not heard from any moderators, therfore I’m assuming my view is the correct one. I’ve qualified my comments in( ), so please read them carefully before responding. I await your comments.

Well, nobody, including myself, wants to “get away” with something just because it’s not been caught. Again, I still maintain that as long as it’s a qaulity, timely blog link (since it’s within the blogger catagory) which PROMOTES the conservative cause and additional discussion, then WHERE the information comes from should not be an issue (as long as it’s legit info., that is). Why would you or anyone else discourage this (based on the specific conditions noted above)?

The last thing I want to do is argue. I came here to meet conservative friends and have really enjoyed the spirit of unity here. Tanker, out of respect for you, I’ll do my best to post substantive, unique links. Please bear in mind that I converse with other conservatives all over the internet by posting to forums and engaging in political discussion. When they originate from my blog, it makes it that much easier for me since I “filtered” the story and know exactly what I want to talk about. Honestly Tanker, prior to our discussion I had received a lot of gratitude for many of the links that I’ve posted from “Dittos Rush” therefore I was encourged to keep going. It’s really not about “hits” to my blog, instead I simply love finding news first, locating video, posting to various forums and interacting with other conservatives. The current message of conservatism is in a small way being spread by bloggers and yes, I want to be a part of that and a part of restoring our country back to conservative ideals and legislation.
