Here is video of an NAACP representative on Fox News today where he defended Sen. Harry Reid as a "champion for Civil Rights." This despite comments by Reid were revealed in a new book where he said Barack Obama could be accepted by the American people because he is "light-skinned" and because he has "no Negro Dialect" unless he wants to have one. Reid made the remarks privately during the 2008 Campaign.
The NAACP Rep. said that Reid's words were "awkward, but not "offensive."
"The way he said it was quite awkward, but nonetheless, not offensive. That what he said was actually part of a calculus as to why he believed Barack Obama could be elected in this country today."Somehow, if any Republican had made these comments I doubt seriously this would be the reaction of the NAACP.

Yes! We would be hearing about it for months and months and it would be dredged up at every opportunity.
So, the Colored People are on board with this, then?
I sympathize. I had all kinds of trouble with calculus.
I hope they choke on their hypocrisy
It is interesting to notice how the media, the black (excuse me, the negro) community, the universities, Hollywood, most lawyers, even the techhies now dominate the message of America being liberal. We have lost America.
Hey you black Democrats, I have a question. How does Harry’s butt taste?
He should have just said OBama doesn’t have a bogus “Rev’run’” in front of his name. Point made.

“lazy, thriftless, intemperate, insolent, dishonest and without the most rudimentary elements of morality”
Sounds like my last performance review!
awkward? lol
like the way Obama walks and rides bike.
(Gee, I hope that isn’t r’racist’ too?)
Hmm..so the NAACP doesn’t find it offense that a dark skinned Black person can’t win the White House according to Reid.
lazy, thriftless, intemperate, insolent, dishonest and without the most rudimentary elements of morality
Sounds opposite of all the black people I work with.
What if Reid had asked Obama to sing “Camp Town Races” doo-dah , doo-dah. Would it have been racist then?
The NAACP...We give a crap about their opinion on race because???
The NAACP spokesman said all of this about Senator Reid while bending himself into the shape of a pretzel...
No, that probably would have just been REALLY awkward.
There, I fixed it.
This shouldn’t surprise anyone after reading the forgiveness of Robert Byrd and various others throughout the years...including the leader of the Great Society.
