COVER-UP!! : Geithner Told AIG to Withhold Details of Money Swaps

Emails disclosed Thursday showed that the New York Fed instructed AIG to withhold from a securities filing information on the financial institutions that received taxpayer money in AIG's bailout. In other words, AIG was acting as a front for banks getting our tax dollars. The Fed will give cash to the AIG who in turn would give it to the banks.

That information remained secret for months, until Congress pressured the Federal Reserve to give it up in March, over the Fed's insistence that doing so would damage market confidence.A week after Fed Vice Chairman Donald Kohn was beaten up by senators for the failure to disclose the recipients, AIG published the list, which was topped by France's Societe Generale and Goldman Sachs.

Nine months later, the issue remains a headache for Turbo-tax Geithner.

In a sane world, this would be reasonable cause for immediate termination of employment.

Well, Obama did get enough 'air time' per terrorit threat to bump this story out of the'weekend box' and replace it with he hopes are 'better polls' based on his performance today. Sad to report, Obama is not only a horrible President; he is a very bad actor.

But Geithner not going away. ..nor I hope, Leitner; and neither is the issue of Obama's corrupted choice for TSA either.

The dirtiest - and most dangerous - of politics ever.

This comes up again after rumors yesterday about the possibility of Dodd going to Treasury after he leaves office.

NOT!

Dodd is going to resign and let the Conn Gov appoint someone to fill the seat in hopes the filler can keep it in the next election.

Ummm, isn't falsification of SEC filings a federal felony? I know this runs afoul of a number of State laws. For example: http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/Docs/PE/htm/PE.37.htm see section 37.10

And then we add conspiracy (secret agreement to commit a criminal act) and possibly a few other charges.

Any State AG’s out there with the guts to go after the zero's fair haired child?

“In a sane world, this would be reasonable cause for immediate termination of employment.”

I think the decision to toss Geithner under the bus has already been made. This information just makes it inevitable.

Safer, perhaps if you do not get in within 'spitting distance'!/lol.

That said; share your sentiments, at least. (Never could understand the 'reach out' to Bill Clinton's hands; nor parents pushing their children in front of him. Another pair of hands that I never wanted to 'get close to'./lol/sigh
