This is not “profiling.” It is connecting the general characteristics of formerly apprehended terrorists with a security action.

Profiling happens when those characteristics are arbitrary and capricious based on non factual stereotypes.

Somehow the liberal leftist world is incapable of distinguishing this less than subtle difference.

Where that difference defines the boundary between life and death, the leftists find them selves waxed, and the airport is absolutely as safe as possible, in this case, the safest in the world.

The reason we search 85 year old grandmothers is to prove to bin Laden and Al Qaeda that we are searching everyone, and not singling out Arabs/Muslims/young men from Muslim countries/non-citizens, you name it. We are bending over backward to prove to bin Laden that we aren’t discriminating. And now that the “eight years of darkness” and all that crap is over, supposedly the world loves us again. And Obama has made nice with the Muslim world. Why do they still hate us now that Obama has made nice with the Muslim world, prouldy announced that Gitmo will close, proudly announced that “we do not torture”, proudly has his attorney general announce that Sept. 11th plotters will get their day in court, etc. etc. etc.

In the worldview of a liberal/radical/Obamabot, we should not be facing continuing terror threats. In their worldview, the reason for the hatred of America was Bush. In their simplistic thinking, now that Bush is gone, the world will love us again. This has to be a shock to a loyal liberal Obamabot.

Sure if you want to destroy the American airline flight industry. Who is going to tolerate 5 hour delays/early arrival on for a flight from SF to LA, when you can drive it in 6. All El AL flights are international and the only way to leave Israel.

Stop making sense! I used a similar argument several days back and was met with deafening silence.

All Muslims aren’t terrorists - but ( in our time ) all terrorists are Muslims. It’s time to profile...

Think of it this way - if it was Branch Davidians who were bringing down planes - and David Koresh was the mastermind rather than Osama - do you really think Janet wouldn’t
“profile”? Trust me, she would profile in a new york minutes - and expand it to include every Republican.

Idiot liberals would rather that 500,000 people die than one minority be offended.

If it was conservatives doing this, Janet wouldn't even let us fly... it'd be off to the camps for us. With Muslims? It's "oh so careful"...

Emotions invested in agenda always trumps substance and experience in the PC Utopian fantasy world of the left. Lives lost to satiate their hunger for a self-righteous feeling is not a consideration.

I arrived at Ben Gurion airport at about 5 AM in early spring of 1985, on my way home on emergency leave from the MFO. There were 2 security guards, a cleaning lady, a Rabbi looking old man, and two counter people there. I was going to ask directions to my gate so I sat down my bag and took two stepstoward the counter. I was surrounded by the 2 security officers, cleaning lady, Rabbi, and one counter person (all armed) and asked “Is that your bag?”. I assured them it was and after I emptied it out onto the floor I was allowed to repack it and proceed. They almost had to pry it out of my hands at baggage check.

Well unfortunately the lack of accurate profiling puts flying Americans at tremendous risk. So much so, that if I am waiting in a pre boarding lounge and see any thing suspicious in the passengers present, I will cancel my boarding pass and book a later flight.
