Sarah Palin Gives Hope For Future Like The Great Jewish Heroine Esther
Governor Palin 4 President ^

Posted on 01/01/2010 3:41:07 PM PST by MaxCUA

I admire Sarah Palin. She gives me hope for the future, and reminds me of the great Jewish heroine Esther.

Humble, reverential and courageous. I hope she becomes the first female president of the United States. I have carefully observed the impressive onslaught of lies and hatred directed at her since she joined John McCain in his bid for the White House.

I will review just a few of her splendid accomplishments.

What I like most about Sarah Palin is her love for her husband and her children. I've long believed there is nothing nobler a person can do in this life than to do a good job raising their children; it appears that Todd and Sarah Palin have an excellent marriage and a great family.

That's no small success in this divorce-ravaged society.

My second favorite thing about Sarah Palin is her love for her country. I know that her political activism springs from a deep appreciation of our rich history and hope-filled future.etc..

Okaaaaayyy. How could Palin have authored and toured with the book as a sitting governor under a Chicago-way barrage of legal attacks?

She is a loser.

Hate to break it to you, bub, but that "loser" is the only Republican who has fired up the base like no other since Reagan. That you feel the need to try and tear her down for whatever reason or agenda you are pursuing speaks very poorly of you and whoever you are supporting, whether you are brave enough to acknowledge it or not.

And quite frankly, I'm sick and tired of you pompous, elitist jerks attacking us Palin supporters because we dare to defend her and her record against your ilk. The reason we do what we do is because ever since August 25, 2008, there has been a steady stream of lib trolls and GOP-Romney operatives coming to this site to try and damage her so badly that any move toward a 2012 campaign would be a stillborn endeavor.

You call Sarah Palin a loser, and apparently could care less about the facts of what was going on in Alaska prior to July 3rd. But the sheer number of people still coming out to see her, as well as buying her book, suggests otherwise. If you think we're cultists because we're rallying around the one true Conservative out there today who can light a fire under the GOP and take the fight back to Obama and his Chicago thugs, then GUILTY AS CHARGED!

She made a lot of money from the book before the book was released and before she started her tours. She had authored the book or most of it long before she resigned in July 2009 because the book was released in November 2009. She did not need to tour the country to sell the books because we heard that 1.5 million copies of her book were sold before the book was released and Palin should have made many millions of dollars without the need to sell on single extra book.

..I do not like reading the stuff from sycophants for Sarah any more than I did for GWB.

But standing with someone who stands for and with me is not cult worship. I'm a Duncan Hunter man anyway. If he does not jump in for 2012, then Governor Palin would get my support unless something really unforeseen comes out.

She didn't hurt herself with anyone but those who think that she is a ditz and wouldn't vote for her anyway

because few months after she resigned she made millions on her book which can very much pay for her debts so she did not have to resign.

Of course her debts can be paid.
BECAUSE SHE RESIGNED! SHE COULDN'T DO THIS WHILE IN OFFICE!
DUH!

You Palin fans are like the Obama fans, not a single coherent argument that can withstand under simple logic. Everything you say contradict each other.

Brilliant job at projecting there. You should fill in for Olbermann at MSNBC.

Agreed, she won in the only way worth winning, by her rules and not theirs. But like I posted way earlier here . . . she will need to be a Joshua or King David more than an Esther. . . and I think she will be be.

I can understand jv's concern that FReepers who express their passion for Governor Palin may seem a little too much like the mindless synchophants who got Obama elected

It's not cult worship when virtually the only Republican is out there fighting the socialist agenda.
What type of support do you think Sarah should receive? Muted, muffled, polite applause? An atta-girl with a cheesy thumbs-up?

There is a DeMint PING list and FReepers wanting DeMint to run for President in 2012. There is a Bachmann PING list.
Are they cultists too? Are Rush listeners cultists too?
Palin has galvanized conservatives - why is this so hard to understand? When Republicans take a strong stand how the F do you think I'm going to react? I'm sure as Hell ain't gonna wave non-chalantly. Damn straight I'm going to be hyped up!!!

The book itself wasn't written before she resigned, (although the idea was in her mind) but as a young girl, Sarah started keeping journals, so her book was made easier “for her to write” because of her journals, and unlike some in the media would like us to believe, the book was largely written by Sarah, not a ghostwriter. Lynn actually only helped Sarah organize her book.

Millions support Sarah Palin for President so this makes us cultist

So this would make the Palin Bashers, Anti Palin cultist

Ok, I see now how the game is played.

Am impressed you know exactly what SArah was doing by the week, her schedule why the book was in progress.

You did know Sarah spent the month of August in San Diego
with her editor writing her book because you forgot to mention that.

Excellent post. I would just add that Palin did not resign under pressure. She was a very popular governor in the state of Alaska with one of the highest approval ratings.

She resigned because Democrat special interest groups were bankrupting her and turning her into an issue; that was interfering with getting things done for her state. She put her state first.

Her ability to think outside the box and be unpredictable while promoting her conservative values is exactly what I like about her. She lives her conservative principles and has found new ways to get her message out to the people. The media is furious that she has gone around them and is communicating directly with the people.

Totally meaningless cartoon in the light of her resignation from Alaska governor without completing her first term. She resigned because the liberal media defeated her. She surrendered. No amount of excuses from Palin or her fans regarding why she resigned is going to change this fact.

Oh, you're one of those, eh? The people who deliberately choose ignorance and then try to say they are knowledgeable about an issue? Call something a fact or an excuse and you can feel quite the fashionable sort while walking around with blinders and earplugs.

My suggestion (I know you don't want it, but I'm going to type it anyway) is that you find the individual you wish to support and learn all you can about the positive qualities of that person. Rather than "going negative" on the person you dislike by citing untruths, personal opinions or half-facts about them and making yourself appear stupid, list the good things about your person instead.

If the factual foundation you've built stands, all is well. Just keep in mind that Sarah Palin's foundation is strong so she doesn't get blown over by falsehoods. (Ironic that she got even stronger because the false accusations--like yours--required decision making that would best serve the people of Alaska.)

A great many of We, The People really like Sarah and how she represents us. I'm sorry you don't have the capacity to see that but such is life sometimes, eh?

Sarah didn't even sign her book deal until mid-May. Lynn Vincent was retained as a collaborator a couple of weeks later. 5 weeks after that, Palin announced she was resigning. To suggest that most of the book was written before that is ludicrous.

When the book contract was announced, Alaska lawmakers like Jay Ramras were demanding an Alaska Dept. of Law review, questioning the legality of her writing and promoting a book while Governor.

If she had written and promoted the book while in office, she would have had multiple ethics complaints and probably impeachment proceeedings instituted. RINO's, anklebiters and Obamabots would have had a field day.

did I miss who the bashers are for.
The I don’t know yet or too early doesn’t cut it.

A dead giveaway to the person’s view, I will bash your candidate with mindless deivel but won’t say who I am for because I can’t defend my candidate.

Thank you, Al B. !!!!
Sarah is criticized for seemingly everything.
The book is hers. Lynn helped her with the organizing.
I was delighted to finally see an article posted here the other day that was written by a journalist who pointed out that Sarah uses intertwines the usages of “I” and “me” in a grammatically incorrect manner than a ghostwriter would have corrected. Can't same the same for Barry's novel that Bil Ayres penned for him.

I just took a terrible fall on a diving boat. Ended up 3 inches shorter and 40 lbs lighter. Can’t stand-up completely straight, but I can walk A-OK.

How awful, onyx. I'm glad you have recovered and are up and walking.

Perhaps you’re right about excuses.

But what about more accurate analyses?

What some seem to forget is the fact that Palin’s resignation was beneficial—rather than harmful—to the people of Alaska, and her successor represents a continuation of her policies. Palin unselfishly recognized, as politicians only rarely do, that it’s not the person but the policies that matter.

It’s not the person, but the policies that really matter.

She resigned because her state was under attack, via the governor’s office, by political psychopaths.

Palin showed that she will always consider what is best for the people before her political career. This makes her more qualified for the presidency than 99% of the politicians who have ever set foot in Washington.

THIS MAKES HER MORE QUALIFIED FOR THE PRESIDENCY THAN 99% OF THE POLITICIANS WHO HAVE EVER SET FOOT IN WASHINGTON.

If as president she were to face a set of circumstances under which her resignation, due to the actions of political psychopaths, would be most beneficial to the American people, we have the luxury of knowing she would make the right decision.

Remember—resignation does not leave a burning hole in the Oval Office. It leaves room for a fully capable vice president (perhaps a John Bolton or a Jim DeMint) to take her place.

Those who desperately fear the Christian moral foundations of her humanity went to great lengths to portray her as stupid. All they did was display their hatred for the very principles upon which our country achieved its greatness and how fearful they are of a person who still embodies the morality which our country has tragically abandoned.

I like this part. Funny how when something good is said about Sarah, usually it is the Sarah haters that jump on it first.  I think that this is because of sexism we often see predominantly in males, although there are a few female Sarah haters with unfair biases, too.  It's hard not to notice that it is the males that come across are the most vile and vociferous.

As time passes, Sarah will keep proving that she is a strong politician who is up to the job if she chooses to run, while the little whiners will become increasingly irrelevant.

She resigned because the liberal media defeated her. She surrendered.

If she had surrendered, she wouldn't have included so many great things to fight for in her book, nor would she still be fighting with weekly pronouncements and op-eds that rally conservatives against Obama's agenda. The woman is a fighter, not one who gives up, that should be apparent by now.

As to being defeated by the media, how has she gotten her approval ratings up lately, and how does she continue to deliver her message over the heads of the media?

I have to admit, it surprises me to see your animus towards her, it doesn't make sense considering your stands in the past.
