Texas Tech Alumni To Award Adam James The ‘Golden Tampon’ Award
Elective Decisions ^ | 12/30/09 | Chris Davis

Lubbock—During a dinner on Thursday night, December 31, 2009, the Texas Tech Alumni are having their annual awards ceremony banquet and New Year’s Eve bash. This year they’ve decided to add another category for the awards presentations. The category in question is the “Biggest Wussy Category.” The “Biggest Wussy Category” was created to determine which ballplayer should have a sex change; thereby becoming a girl.

Each category includes a vote by a committee upon the name entered into the category. In the past, some of the categories have included, “The Toughest Player,” “The Smartest Player,” and “Most Outstanding Player.” In past years, the vote has been close, but this year for the “Biggest Wussy Category,” the vote wasn’t even close. Adam James name was a unanimous vote in the wake of his whining, and in Texas Tech University’s firing of Coach Mike Leach.

Would that be a solid gold tampon?

Anyway, Leach deserved what he got -- plus he managed to screw himself out of $800,000. Not a very smart guy. The kid he locked up in the shed? He might be in the NFL some day. Leach? No frickin' way.

In a shed? You kidding me? How big was that shed anyway and what was the reason?

Boy are you completely unacquainted with the facts of the situation. The kid is a joke, and you obviously haven’t seen where he was placed. It was not in a shack. You need to stop drinking the ESPN Kool-Aid.

Here’s something you can peruse:

Read the facts on other threads before jumping to conclusions.

I'll summarize: Slacker, entitled Adam James, son of former Patriot and now ESPN's Craig James, had been admonished several times by staff for dogging it. After receiving a slight concussion, James, who has a history of 'injuries' that suddenly heal in time to play on Saturday, showed up to practice wearing designer sunglasses crying that it was too bright for him. So, with doctor approval and the supervision of trainers, Leach put James in a cool, dark equipment storage area- the size of a garage, with running water and fans- not too far from the practice field. Pansy James cried to helicopter daddy (meaning daddy was always hovering over practice and trying to get his undeserving son more playing time), and daddy went to the higher ups. Using ESPN as his platform, Craig James played all innocent by saying they were concerned about their son's concussion.

What ESPN did report is that Adam James asked to be released from his scholarship so he could go play at SMU. Leach said no. James was also accepted on the team by Leach, at the protest of his coordinators who believe James didn't have what it took to play D-1 BALL. ESPN has also failed to report that numerous coaches, assistants, former players, etc. have revealed that Adam James was a trouble kid, not a team player, dogged it at practice and used his name as an entitlement to play.

You should have seen him on ESPN a bit ago during the Nebraska game. It was sickening.
