Today is my 11th anniversary of signing up on FreeRepublic. I lurked since the beginning of October, 1998, learned about the March for Justice, and travelled to DC from NJ to attend it to join the voices of those calling for the impeachment of a President who had broken the law. How thrilling it was to arrive at the Washington Monument on Oct. 31, 1998 to see a sea of flags and 4,000 patriots! Seven weeks later, President Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives.
Since that time, Freepers have been instrumental in influencing the 2000(Sore/Loserman and "Get out of Cheney's house!) and 2004 elections(exposing Dan Rather's "fake but accurate" Texas ANG memo and helping the SwiftBoat Vets), in shutting down amnesty not once, but twice in 2006, and in pulling the GOP kicking and screaming to the right as an outcome of the disastrous 2008 election of the Usurper-in-Chief.
All that time, FreeRepublic has been my refuge to find common sense and camaderie in the political battles of these 11 years. Having a place where like-minded America-loving patriots can gather has proven invaluable.
The year 2010 will be a watershed in the history of America. The Constitution and the rule of law are at risk, not unlike as in 1998 when I first came to FreeRepublic. We have but ten more full months to influence, peacefully, the course of our country, through the candidates we support and the causes we work for.
I wish you all a Happy New Year, and express my hope that there will be a new birth of freedom for America in 2010. Together, we can make that happen. God bless us, every one.
Hello Exit 148! Great to hear from you!

Don't you think it is about time you wrote something in your ABOUT Page?? :-))
[Mr] T
Ahh, there you are! My very best to you and yours for 2010 and far, far beyond.
My dear Exit148, your keyboard is getting dotty.
WHITEWATER!
I don't know if those days were so innocent but they sure were a lot more fun. Thanks for reminding us about Mr. Confetti Man. May his children stand with us someday.
Happy New Year!
Well, since I'm a secret agent, you know, if I told you about me, well, you know what would happen.
Truth is,you're right-- I am homepage challenged.
HAppy New Year to you and Mrs. Trooprally!
JVB—good to “see” you here. Hope all is well.
Happy New Year to you!
Happy New Year to you!
Thanks for all you do to make this site terrific!
Keyboard getting dotty? You are too kind! Watergate/Whitewater -— they were all a bunch of crooks!!
Innocent in a way. The one thing about Clinton is that he spurred up the silent conservatives. Isn’t that one of the reasons that led JimRob to form Fr? He fouled the Oval Office, and he led the way for terrorists by his doing nothing. Was Hillary outright calling herself a Progressive then? We knew she was, but she was treading carefully. Not like now. We really fear for this country -— with good reason.
And the fear is not just with the left. WE NEED A LEADER!
But how nice that exit82 started this thread! So nice getting in touch with old friends -— who are always here, of course, but it is nice with the one-on-one.
Happy New Year to you and may we once again stand side by side with our posters —— doing the “RIGHT” thing!!
We’re doing great over here, e82. Christmas was wonderful, Santa generous and the New Year’s festivities are coming along nicely
Both good friends.
Hope it is a wonderful New Year for you.
I'm watching and talking to people around the world as the new year is celebrated. Lots of fun.
I spent most of my life in the Garden State of NJ, although I live in Delaware now(in the southern, conservative part).
Here are some fun facts about the Garden State to amaze your friends and neighbors with:

There is one error: the first footbal game played was in 1869, not 1889 as shown, But a true New Jerseyan would know that!
Happy New Year to All!
We have some FR old timers on this thread.
Happy New Year to you!
