The era of the Mans Man is coming ever closer to ending. Soon it will be acceptable for all men to see a film and let it truly effect them emotionally. But that time isnt upon us just yet. These are the top ten movies that not only make men cry, but it is deemed acceptable for them to do so.
10. The Wrestler
9. Saving Private Ryan
8. Braveheart
7. Field of Dreams
6. E.T. The Extra Terrestrial
5. The Shawshank Redemption
4. Friday Night Lights
3. Terminator 2: Judgement Day
2. Good Will Hunting
1. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn

Um, Not even close. I cried while watching “The Passion of the Christ”. But not one of these movies resulted in tears.
Kahhhhnnnn! sniffle
What kind of fag would watch Star Trek?
Happy 2010 Patriots
We Were Soldiers - Black Hawk Down - Tears of the Sun - and, especially The Passion of the Christ.
Speaking of Ed Harris, I forgot to mention The Abyss.
Mr. Harris’s performance in this movie was just unbelievable. Moves me to tears every time I see it.
For the record, I know that Harris is a big lib, and the extended version of this movie was a piece of enviro-crap, but I really loved the theatrical release of this film.
Radio I have not seen, sir.
Um, I’m not a “fag” and I watch Star Trek (not a trekkie, but I like SciFi).
Them's fightin' words... ;-)
That’s the one. Much better than the hollywierd version.
That one did it for me.

"Schindler's List," where, at the end, Schindler sees the value of life vs. "stuff," saying, "this car would have gotten ten more Jews . . ." That made me cry.
“Up” was a great movie. Very touching story about the loss of a mate.
‘Life is Beautiful’ is one of my favorites. I made my three teen boys SIT THERE and watch it with me one afternoon.
It generated a great conversation concerning ‘mans inhumanity to man.’
I wanted them to see for themselves that The Human Spirit can rise above some very horrible circumstances and to warn them that this COULD happen anywhere at any time if we’re not vigilant.
(And yes, I know, genocide has happened since; I just want them to be aware and appalled by it, not complacent or numb to it.)
I didn’t cry over any of those and I’m a girl. If a man cried over those with me he just might go home alone!
“
You wanna talk tear city? How about end of Its a Wonderful Life,
when George realizes how rich he really is because hes very simply
a good, caring guy.
“
One of my most lucky moments...
seeing “It’s A Wonderful Life” for the first time...by myself.
I now know if it’s on, I’ll be ready to excuse myself at the scenes of
peak emotion. Otherwise some younger family members will be
asking “Why are you crying?”.
I’m too transparent to make “It’s my sinuses” sound like a real excuse.
That one definately had both me and Dh teary eyed!
The end of “Katyn” definitely made me cry and made me angry at the same time.
9. Saving Private Ryan - it left me somber, but not in tears.
8. Braveheart - Wallace arguably got the last laugh, so naw to that.
7. Field of Dreams - Am I the only one who didn’t care that much for FoD?
6. E.T. The Extra Terrestrial - Never saw it.
5. The Shawshank Redemption - I absolutely love Shawshank, but I didn’t feel like crying at any point.
4. Friday Night Lights - I’ve only vaguely heard of this one.
3. Terminator 2: Judgement Day - Another one I really liked but didn’t have the slightest inclination to cry.
2. Good Will Hunting - I liked this one in spite of the fact that I can’t stand Robin Williams or Ben Affleck (and am none too fond of Matt Damon).
1. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Okay, I admit I came awfully close to crying at the end of this one, as a kid. BTW, it’s “Khan”, unless we’re talking about Lily Von Shtupp.
As for United 93... I still can’t bring myself to watch it.
