I have been a law-abiding citizen all my life. I've always played by the rules. That is about to change. The early morning passage yesterday of the Senate health care bill requires every American to purchase health insurance. I refuse. I will not abide by this bill if it is passed into law. And if the government levies a fine, I will not pay it. I've had enough.
There comes a time when a line in the sand must be drawn. I've just drawn mine. I've listened to the outright lies our politicians have spouted in order to pass this legislation, which, by the way, has nothing to do with health care and everything to do with government control.
Democrats declared this bill was deficit neutral. Not so, says the Congressional Budget Office. Alas, this wasn't reported until minutes after the bill passed the Senate
Dems say this bill will allow an additional 30 million people to be covered while not affecting prices. Helloo....this goes contrary to the very basic law of supply and demand.
I've had enough of the back door deals, the outright bribes, the lies, the rush, and the absolute arrogance of our elected officials who patronizingly tell me with a straight face that black is white and if I questions their wisdom, why I must be a loony tea-bagger who doesn't believe in the rule of gravity. Enough!!

You mean like they did for Social Security and Medicare?

Not even women can predict what women will do...
Waht line is that? Loved the movie. Long time ago.
Some of these people posting here talking about resisting and refusing these punitive government mandates, don't seem to get it.
The government will just take their money out of their incomes, taxes, accounts, they'll attach liens to their homes, cars, property etc....
Hitler's victims didn't have weapons. And Hitler's victims were not likely to have had ties to or have served in the military. Conservatives have guns and a proud military tradition; it's going to be awfully hard for our armed forces to fire on us.
You’re not alone Madame. I will refuse also.
Punch!?! I want to rifle-butt them in the teeth. And THEN get mad!
In which case you will be sent to prison.
Which means you will have access to the best health care known to man.
Weird how these things work.
Who needs all that stuff anyhow? Asset forfeiture of the people who are your primary fuel source of your economy is not exactly a long term solution on the gubmints part. It will only fast track the economic failure of the country. Those are the people who pay all the state and local taxes. Removing them from the good machine catagory and placing them in the bad machine catagory is self defeating.
Agreed. Having been a "guest" at a big city/county jail for three days (years ago), I don't really want to find out just how much worse the real state or federal joint is.
Keep a firm grip on the soap.
Thankfully, they let you go three days without showering at county. I got home and stood under my own shower for an hour.
LOL.
And didn’t get much sleep, either, I’ll bet.
Guard: Don't fight it son. Confess quickly! If you hold out too long you could jeopardize your credit rating.

Thanks. Revelation appears in the strangest places. Even angels leave that one alone.
Daniel 11:37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
Not much. I was in a 'pod', like a dorm, with 16 bunks. There were 50 of us in there at one point. And let's just say that the favorite shows on TV were basketball, American Idol (seriously) and the local news crime stories (Hey! I know dat homie! He hang wit my cousin Da'Shaun...)
A rare commodity IMHO
Isn't just like Broccoli to stick his big foot into our private Christmas? The guy's an attention hog! I hope it didn't ruin yours.
