The first 10 years of the 20th Century

Not only can you not count a decade correctly you aren't too great at centuries either!

The only one on this top 10 list that I actually liked (and saw) is Gladiator. I lose track of time, and can’t think of which movies were definitely in this decade. I like some of the movies in the honorable mention list. I know comedies rarely if ever get any respect, but my wife and I really enjoy Will Farrell comedies. Anchorman and Talledega Nights are both very funny. I also liked American Gangster. I like Scorcese but I didn’t like The Departed at all. I thought Superbad was super BAD. How about Napoleon Dynamite? That is funny and quite original. I didn’t like any of the Spiderman, Batman, Lord of the Rings or Pirates movies.

The decade doesn’t technically end til 2010 is over. Did this list count 2000 as the last decade or this one? If it is counted as this one, Oh Brother Where Art thou should be on the list.

1, 2, and 3 I agree with, but maybe not in those slots. The others...eh not so much. A few I haven’t even heard of.

I know this is a tad off topic, but he mentioned Spiderman 2 as one of the best superhero movies ever...for me (different decade, but we’re talking ‘ever’ here) Richard Donner’s “Superman” (the first one) still holds that honor for me.

Little Miss Sunshine was a tedious, very predictable, unfunny bore of a movie without a single redeeming element. It was a waste of Alan Arkin's considerable talent but I guess he needed a payday.

It was simply awful, IMHO

My Latin teacher would have given him an F for this math mistake.

I just sent this e-mail to Rush because many news outlets including FOX are touting shows where the past decade willpass to the nex decade on Jan 1, 2010!

Many stations are going to schedule shows chroniciling the past decade and that Jan 1, 2010 is the beginning of the next decade. They got it wrong with when they said that Dec 31, 1999 was the end of the 2nd millenium and haven't got it right yet!.

The year 2000 was the last year of the 2nd millenium. I proved this to my fellow space geeks by pointing out the Roman numeral system. I, V, X, L, C and M are the digital designators of our calendar. Since 1999 is MCMXCIX we need one more year to achieve MM two millennia. Each decade begins with the addition of an I. ergo XI or 11 the beginning of the second decade! 2011 not 2010 is the new decade.

Please spread this around. This will give us an additional year to measure the Obama administration as the WORST administration since...forever!

Without a doubt the best foreign film:

Sophie Scholl: The Final Days

Trailer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjE020YHPkE

True story - Sophie Scholl was executed by guillotine by the Third Reich after she was arrested and found guilty of distributing anti-Nazi leaflets at her college campus and for this she was beheaded along with several of the other brave young God-fearing people of the “White Rose”, an underground “TEA PARTY” like movement.

This is brilliant stuff. The tension becomes almost unbearable.

There's an easier explanation. The first year isn't over till the year 2 starts. You can't have a year zero so the first year is still 1 till the first day of the second year.
