I always wonder....what specifically causes the Romneybots to act almost in some kind of demonic fit and rage against Sarah?

It’s like as though, they really don’t want to win at all anyway but all about bringing somebody down!

Oh, there are a couple of reasons, the first being that the LDS crowd (not all, but many) desperately wants Stake President Mitt to be the first Mormon president, in accordance with Joseph Smith's vision of gaining ultimate political power (and legitimacy) for the church.

The second reason is simply because she's a woman, and many of Mitt's supporters have a BIG problem with that, probably for obvious reasons.

One thing that is shocking and amazing is the total opposite lifestyles and belief system of Palin vs Obama.

free market vs socialist/marxist thinking

Love the military vs. loath the military

Strong belief in God vs. unknown beliefs/Muslim-sympathizer

Ethical vs. the Chicago Way politics/Acorn/dirty politics.

Open book on her life vs. unknown life hidden by sealed records and lawyers

Make a speech with cue cards and memory vs. carrying around TOTUS!!

Before I knew what Karl Rove was like and I just “heard” about him. I got this impression of a super ruthless, win-at-any-cost, clever but conniving man. I might be TOTALLY wrong, but the way he comes across as a Fox News Commentator on TV—he seems anything but! He seems like a really nice and honest guy who is fascinated by the political process and doesn’t have any ill intent.

I DO NOT get that impression from Rahm at all. From the first time I saw him on TV, I thought he came across as very sly—the cheating attorney or corrupt CEO type.

Voting machines are required to dispense receipts. If they don’t, complain and don’t leave your machine. You’ll know that fraud is taking place.

I’ve read a mix of comments about her from third party advocates. Either they don’t like OR they’re hoping that she’ll split from the GOP to run in a third party. I can’t see that happening.

With most of us focused on our candidate three years before an election, I hope we can sustain our enthusiasm for that long. Obama will help us in that regard. The last time most conservatives had settled on a candidate this early was Reagan in 80. Sarah is winning folks over with each appearance and is starting 2010 as the only voice speaking out on conservative issues.

She could become an historical inevitability, but I see one issue. How does she get a campaign manager that is experienced but still able to guide a unique candidacy with. as in 1980, many crossover voters?

What I found interesting is nobody followed up on this.

“And I was not going to run again for governor...” Sarah made the decision not to run for reelection way be for the Chaos started. I wonder why she decided not to run for reelection.

Exactly, Sarah believes in working within the Republican party to get Conservatives elected.

This is what we do 2010 and push on through to 2012

Now you bring up a interesting point....earlier this year there was a small interview somewhere where Sarah said that hypothetically if she was to run for President that it would be like no other campaign ever seen or heard, she said something to the effect that she would refused campaign money from Big Corporations, only taking individual donations.... and use a smaller staff, having a huge volunteer base but shunning the massive headquarters-style campaigns...I can’t find that interview, but it’s real though.

The frivolous lawsuits and attacks were going on for a long time. It was only in the last months it became more known.

Sarah has mentioned she knew on Aug. 29 O8 she was not going to run for reelection.

Sarah is smart. I think she figured she had reached the zenith in Alaskan politics. Serving another term as governor would have kept her stuck too far away from the lower 48 where she thought she could do more good by advancing conservative causes.

Sarah has breathed new life into the party of Reagan, so I have to post the photo!

I remember hearing that interview also. Her campaign would probably be themed on a return to the values that made America great, fiscal sanity, and common sense governing. By 2012, that may be an easy to sell message that will resonate with independents and Reagan Democrats too. By then health care will be messed up, taxes will be increasing, the earth will still be getting hotter (even if it’s cold) and the nations of the world will still hate us. Oh, and we’ll be in the middle of a terror trial in NYC that will bring Obama’s incompetence to mind every day. It will be our most interesting election ever.

You got it right there...the one thing Dems in Alaska were amazed at was the fact that she got so many democrat voters to vote for her....independents hate the corruption especially in both parties, so a message of no promise to big business and on cleaning up the corruption will resonate to indies/moderates and Reagan dems...........and with most true conservatives falling over sword to vote for her? Hmmmmm INDEED!!

Thanks, SoCal.

Lurker, Greek:

Then go tell Rahm and Frum that you FAILED.

Cheers!

I saw the interview originally.

If people can’t read the text of it and still not understand
why Sarah resigned, they just don’t want to understand.
It takes away one of their phony charges against Sarah.

BTW I personally believe that the Tea Party keynote speech that Palin is schedule to speak at in Feb in Nashville is going to be huge...so huge that at the very least Fox and CSPAN will probably carry it live and maybe MSNBC and CNN might do the same to get some coverage and ratings....this might be “the Speech” that people have been waiting for...that lays it all out for 2010 and beyond.

I can’t wait!
