William M. Daley is the prototypical Democratic Power the former U.S. Secretary of Commerce from 1997 to 2000 is a lawyer and business executive. He was a chairman of the Al Gores failed presidential campaign in 2000. During the 2008 Democratic Presidential Primaries, Daley was a prominent supporter of Barack Obama, and eventually and adviser to the Obama-Biden Transition team.
Today, in The Washington Post, Daily warns his fellow Democrats that they better moderate or face a major loss in 2010. Daley argues that the Democratic Party my lifelong political home has a critical decision to make: Either we plot a more moderate, centrist course or risk electoral disaster not just in the upcoming midterms but in many elections to come.
Interestingly today, he is making the same argument to Obama's progressives that people make about the Conservative wing of the Republican Party, you better keep the tent big:

It’s too late.......
>>Either we plot a more moderate, centrist course or risk electoral disaster not just in the upcoming midterms but in many elections to come
I guess he didn’t get the memo that Reid and Pelosi got: ACORN’s got the 2010 and 2012 elections in the bag with some outrageous voter fraud and a Justice Dept and FEC that will look the other way.
Trying to enslave the entire population via “healthcare” will tend to ruffle some feathers.
They’re over the edge. They have awakened a sleeping giant.
If the Democratic Party doesn’t get its act together, I believe the Yellow Dogs will split and form their own Centrist party, and might even pull in some RINOs.
You betcha. I predict it will be a bloodbath in 2010 and beyond. Hopefully Chris Dodd id the first to go. Votes have consequences my friend.
Ain’t gonna happen. The Dems are drunk with power and are blind to what’s coming. It’s playing out like a Greek Tragedy. Hubris will get them every time.

You are correct. They are fanatical. You can see it in their eyes.
They’ve already screwed the pooch...it’s way too late now...
From the article:
“For liberals to accept that inescapable reality is not to concede permanent defeat. Rather, let them take it as a sign that they must continue the hard work of slowly and steadily persuading their fellow citizens to embrace their perspective.”
“...persuading their fellow citizens to embrace their perspective.”
And just what is that perspective? Abandoning our sovereighnty and putting Americans under the aegis of a UN run New World Order which can direct our military even within our borders? Putting the personal information of every American into databases that can be accessed by every state/federal/city UNION official in the country? Unionizing every job in the country so that they can have walkouts by all nurses/garbage colletectors in every city at the same with no legal recourse to fire them and hire other people? Unionizing every job in the country and deducting dues that support a centrist government agenda?
Just what is it the Demos have in mind when they say “change”? What is the goal?
That should be the force of the coming campaigns. Make the public completely aware of what all this “change” entails.
Boiled down - Democrats need to be less flamboyant and open about driving the country down the path to a socialist hell. That way they’ll have a better chance of getting it done.
Sorry, dude... The leftists have shown their true colors, and they have nothing to do with the Red, White and Blue. They are socialists, pure and simple.
It’s time to take back the country.
Um, ACORN was not all that sucessfuly in the governors races in New Jersey or Virginia. In 2010 there will be lots of FREEPERS, and others at most voting precints.
ACORN can steal 500-1000 votes in a close election.
It is virtually impossible for them to steal 100,000.
If someone could tell me how ACORN or the SEIU could have changed the outcome of the McDonnell-Deeds race in Virgina I would like to know.
