Did you know that whistleblowers can be rewarded for taking action against companies defrauding the U.S. Government in programs such as Medicare?

Were they ACORN members?
A neighbor of mine just won 1.4 million for turning in a corrupt Visiting Nurse service in Brooklyn, NY.

Unfortunately whistle blowers cannot be rewarded for taking action against the U.S. government defrauding the People of the United States in programs such as Medicare....
Don't get me wrong, we should report FRAUD when we see it, BUT to be rewarded in that BIG of payout for doing a citizens duty is disgusting.
Otherwise what was their point in turning in another FRAUD, only to reap the $$$$'s for themselves? That is our money/taxpayers, do the right thing.
Why not? It’s about being rewarded for taking risk. I’m all for encouraging employees and others to disclose fraud against “we the people”, because that will serve to prevent it in the future. No action means it will continue.
Every time I see this TV commercial for medicare recipients to get their $5K Hov’around on my dime I see red. It should not be a given that this company should be out there encouraging people to apply for their expensive rolling wheel chair unless they actually need it, and if they can not absolutely afford it on their own.
