It's about time that someone has the backbone to address the eight hundred pound elephant in the room. ObamaCare is so clearly unconstitutional that it's disappointing it's taken so long for anyone in government to make a serious issue out of it. It's better late than never, but the argument would have carried more weight and credibility if they'd constantly been attacking ObamaCare on Constitutional grounds...

At least someone in Washington has the GUTS to stand for the CONSTITUTION of the UNITED STATES and take on the usurpers, charlatans, whores, and marxists trying to overthrow the RIGHTS of the PEOPLE in what is fast becoming a Banana (read tyranny) Republic.
Death to all traitors of the Republic!
Knowing what kind of crap bills the Republicans pass when they’re in power, I’d guess that well over 90% of them don’t really see this as unconstitutional... although they’ll posture that way if they think it will increase their campaign contributions.
PAHING, and Merry Christmas!
The gloves are OFF!

Will this be a case of better late than never or if it makes it to a court will the senators be told they have no *standing*?
Regardless, I wish you a very Merry Christmas, Candor7!
And for a very thorough and persuasive explanation of why Øbambicare is unconstitutional on YET ANOTHER ground, see this excellent article by Richard Epstein:

I hope not, because otherwise, someone who gets fined or imprisoned will have to fight this all the way to the Supreme Court, and by then, it’ll be like income tax. They’ll be liable to too many people for damages to ever admit they’re wrong.
Well, maybe this is how you START something, but they will pass it anyway. It will have to be challenged in the Supreme Court...and I don’t trust THEM either.
It’s about time Ensign did something worthwhile. Back a couple of years ago, Ensign was silent when a close vote came down between Sharron Angle and Dean Heller. Angle was the more conservative of the two with sound conservative fundamentals.
Well, when it went to court, Ensign told her to go pound sand and stuck by Heller, who was more to the left. As far as I’m concerned Ensign needs to go. But first, Nevada needs to get rid of Reid. Just some info for you. But this sounds like Ensign, trying to do something late when he could’ve done something earlier. But at least he’s doing something.
December 22, 2009 - WASHINGTON, D.C.
Today, U.S. Senators Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina) and John Ensign (R-Nevada), raised a Constitutional Point of Order on the Senate floor against the Democrat health care takeover bill on behalf of the Steering Committee, a caucus of conservative senators. The Senate will vote tomorrow on the bills constitutionality.
The Supremes already said that.
“Obviously, direct control of medical practice in the states is beyond the power of the federal government.”

Okay, lets keep the pressure on - especially Nelson. The governor and people of Nebraska are really giving it to him. Lets add fuel to the fire! Let him know we are not only sick of the corruption of which he is chief benefactor, but we will also be cheering for the Cornhuskers to lose big to the Arizona Wildcats in their upcoming bowl game!

Be in D.C. for massive protest on day of State of the Union Address!
It’s going to be interesting to see who thinks this pile-of-horse-dung bill is Constitutional. And they’ll be on record.
A Constitutional challenge presupposes the Dhimmirats give a rip about the Constitution...they don’t!
Seems to me that if you add up all the socialist shenanigans of the 0bamaroids since January, they are working toward the point where the American people finally get off their duffs and start to fight to reclaim the country. At that point, I would not be surprised to see the anointed one try to impose martial law, suspend the Constitution all together and take the final steps to his socialist utopia...
This is getting quite serious.
About time!!!!!!!!
Ensign and De Mint show up with leaky, 10-ft garden hose after our house burned down. GRR, we're tough conservatives.
DMML, HWIL,
Way past due to bring out the gloves, but, I hope they knock them out of the ring.
