McConnell Says Dems Health Bill is an "Outrage Being Perpetrated on the American People" - Video

Here is video of GOP Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell calling the Democrats' Senate Health Care Bill a "legislative train wreck." McConnell was reacting to news that Democrats now have the 60 votes to invoke cloture and move to a vote on final passage on the bill. They hope to do so on Christmas Eve.

McConnell said the bill will lead to higher taxes, and that it includes "permissive language" on government-funded abortions. He said the bill will cut back on Medicare, Medicaid, and Hospice funding.

McConnell pointed out that the bill now contains a special deal for Medicaid funding for Nebraska and Vermont, an obvious reference to the deals made with Ben Nelson of Nebraska, and Bernie Sanders of Vermont to make sure they vote for the bill.

McConnell said the Democrats are going to pass this bill "in the middle of night" because they don't want the American people to see it. He said this bill is "an absolute outrage being perpetrated on the American people." . . . . (VIDEO)

Even if he did the request would be ignored. Anyone in The House and Senate who votes for this violated their oath of office to uphold and defend The Constitution as did the "Coward in Chief".

The senators against this terrible bill need a different spokesman. Sen. McConnell spoke with such a flat tone and no appearance of outrage. Listening only to his voice, you'd have thought he was speaking of the most mundane piece of legislation. It was the most unpersuasive drone. The Republican Party didn't even attempt to put up a candidate for US Senator in Arkansas to run against Pryor.

Think about that.

Yes, it was assured that Pryor would win. But putting up a candidate would have garnered some media attention and allowed that candidate to speak to the people of the state.

Seriously, a US Senate seat...only one of 100....with no candidates other than Green Party and Democrat.

Conservatives were so all-fired hot to defeat Tim Hutchinson because of his marriage....but don't even offer up a candidate against his Democratic replacement.

Obama is a communist. His associations bear me out on this. I also believe he is a muslim to boot. His actions show he has no respect for the liberty of the individual thus spitting on the values this country was founded upon. Many have spilled blood to preserve liberty and Obama pisses on their graves.
