Here is a video report from CBS News this morning which says that the fate of the Senate Health Care Bill is now down to one vote - Democrat Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska. According to sources, Democrats are "negotiating furiously" with Nelson to get his vote.
Democrats want a vote on the Bill before Christmas, which would mean they have to file for a final vote on the bill by this Saturday - December 19. . . . (VIDEO)

This horror show WILL pass.
See? I told you all those liberals who were “angry” with all the “compromises” made to get this takeover passed would cheerfully vote for it in the end.
Hmmm. Wonder what Ambassadorship he will get after his defeat in November?
I think you are probably right.
I know in order to be a politician you probably need to be a whore, but if I were Ben Nelson, I would make sure that every resident of Nebraska got whatever they wanted for Christmas for this vote.
I hope he is not that much of a whore.
Negotiating??? They showed him pictures of concrete boots, a firing squad, a guillotine, a hanging tree....
Has everyone forgot this has to go back to the house
Nelson is not up until 2012. If he were up next year, he would be in strong opposition.
The bid is 300 million. Do I hear 400 million?
Hang tough, Ben.
Hope Sen. Doctor Coburn makes them read all 2,000+ pages of the bill before the vote. They'll still be reading when Obama is making his state of the union address.
Pelosi may avoid a conference and have the House simply pass the Senate bill.
Lightweights.
Specter got $6.5 BILLION to jump ship.
God help us all.
The GOP will have the entire bill read. The RATS are still insisting on voting on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. They intend to paint the GOP as obstructionists.
The GOP must double down and, by Monday, assume the Christmas issue as their own: here is what the RATS are giving you as a Christmas present - higher taxes, Medicare cuts, govt takeover etc etc
And make the point that this is a Christmas gift that can’t be returned or exchanged on Dec 26.
In other words, take on the Christmas issue head-on and use it to strategic advantage. This will resonate with the American people and make them damned mad at the RATS.
The Senate bill does not have the employer mandate but the individual mandate. Nor public option. This is not socialist enough for the house I dont think they will vote for it.

I thought everything rested on Liberman’s vote....what did I miss ? Did he cave ?
If some form of these sausages pass both houses, rest assured, they WILL get something to pass through a joint conference. What that something is, or will eventually be, is anybody’s guess.
