There are very few brave politicians in the world. Most of them mince their words and tell you what they think you want to hear. Brave politicians are ones who speak their mind. They tell you exactly how they feel, consequences be damned. Iowa 5th District Congressman Steve King is among that rare breed.

I was thinking the exact same thing.
A new National Journal poll of 65 GOP senators and lawmakers places those five in a tie for second place, behind "no one", on the list.
BUMP!
"We face challenging times with some hell-bent on tearing down our nation by perpetuating pessimism and apologizing for America. They suggest that our best days were yesterdays. But how can this pessimism exist? Proof of our greatness and pride is all around us today. We produce proud and great volunteers who sacrifice everything for their country.
"We can resist enslavement to big central government that crushes hope and opportunity. We must be wary of government largesse. It doesnt come free and often accepting it takes away everything that is free. Melting into Washingtons powerful and caretaking arms will only lead to suck away the incentive to work hard and chart our own course. This will only contribute to an unstable economy and dizzying national debt, and it will make us less free.
"See, in order to be self-sufficient (we) must be allowed to develop, to drill and build and climb to fulfill our promise! We can not start believing that government is the answer. It cant make you happy or healthy or wealthy or wise. What can? It is the wisdom of the people and our families and our small businesses and industrious individuals. And it is Gods grace helping those who help themselves." - Sarah Palin, July 26, 2009
"Close the border. They're called illegal aliens for a reason. If they're not going to follow the rules, they should not be in our country. Close the border, and get more aggressive about cracking down on illegal aliens." Sarah Palin, Rusty Humphries show, Dec. 4, 2009
Read the article. It’s a National Journal poll. They don’t say who was polled, just Senators, lawmakers, “insiders”
No one can stop them NOW !!!
Bunky, what planet are you from?
The GOP isn’t going to win like this.
I did read it and could not find any specifics. That’s why I asked the question. I am always skeptical on articles that have unnamed sources.
The article is up now. I was hoping it was not a real article. It is.
King is excellent you had better read the article.
Are you so diehard of a GOPer that you attack a good man because the GOP does?
I will go read the article myself to make sure it is accurate. If it is, Bye Bye GOP.
Dood...it's not Peter King.
If you knew what the F*CK you are talking about YOU would be dangerous!
There is not one citation of any GOP lawmaker telling anyone to shut up.
The "poll" shows that exactly eleven percent of "congressional insiders" would like to mute Beck, Palin, King, and Bachmann/
Which sounds like they got one RINO in a sample of nine.
Big deal....
The GOP are a bunch of RINO’s that should (ALL) be voted out of office. (Okay except for my senators, Sessions & Shelby).
How far behind no one were they? 62 for no one, 1 each for Palin, King, Beck?
“Would like to mute” is a synonym for “shut up”
Here is the full list of those who voted;

But, this is exactly what happens when someone mistakes a blogger’s mish-mash of thoughts and posts it in “BREAKING NEWS”.
